Toyota Sequoia SUV and Tundra at the SEMA Auto Show!

The Toyota Sequoia has been relaunched for the first time in 15 years, and Toyota is celebrating by unveiling a fleet of rebuilt vehicles at the SEMA auto show. Starting off with the Ultimate Overlanding Sequoia, it's based on the Sequoia Limited TRD Off-Road and features a heavy-duty front bumper, rock sliders, and a pivoting rear apron that can hold a spare tire, hi-lift jack, and more. The SUV is also equipped with auxiliary headlights, a Warn winch, CBI Offroad skid plates and a Prinsu roof rack. The latter carries an Autohome Airlander Plus roof tent.

Completing the details are a fridge/freezer and bronze alloy wheels shod with 34-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires. For this purpose, the Sequoia was equipped with a 3 inch (approx. 8 cm) lift kit and a ToyTec coilover kit with modified shock absorbers and springs. Even billet aluminum Camburg upper control arms and rear trailing arms are used.

Sequoia TRD Pro Adventurer

Next up is the Westcott Designs Sequoia TRD Pro Adventurer. It is similarly equipped, as it is also raised (with Camburg Racing components) and has various auxiliary headlights. The SUV has also been fitted with rock sliders, Billet-D towing eyes and a rear ladder that provides access to a rooftop tent. Other highlights include a bike rack and a towbar mounted rack for a Kawasaki jet ski. The vehicle also features 17-inch Innov8 beadlock wheels with Nitto Recon Grapplers A/T tires.

Expedition Overland Sequoia

Another Sequoia comes from Team Expedition Overland and is nicknamed Simba. He looks a little more subtle than the other two. But it also has a lift using Icon Vehicle Dynamics 3.0 CDEV suspension and it also stands on 18 inch beadlock wheels with General Grabber X3 tires. Simba has also installed a new front bumper with integrated Warn winch and here too skid plates, rock sliders and a new rear apron with two swivel devices can be seen. They carry a spare tire as well as recovery boards. Other upgrades include an LED light bar, rooftop tent and iCOM amateur radio.

Expedition Overland Tundra

While the Sequoia is the focus at the SEMA auto show for Toyota, the Expedition Overland team has also dedicated themselves to the Tundra. The project is called "Orion" and shows itself with a robust new front bumper including warning cable winch and impact protection and an underride protection is also installed here. There are also LED auxiliary headlights and an aluminum cab canopy motorhome body on the loading area, including a Webasto Evo 40 heater. Also included is a 50-liter water tank, a refrigerator and two 200-watt solar panels. The chassis is based on an ICON Vehicle Dynamics chassis with 2,5 mm threaded dampers with extended spring travel at the front and 2,5 mm Omega bypass shock absorbers at the rear. There are also 17-inch black rims with powerful General Grabber X3 off-road tires. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
