The German company VM exclusive vehicle construction GmbH (VM GmbH) was founded in November 1988 in Bergisch Glattbach and also has its headquarters there. Active production of automobiles started in 1988 and ended in 2010. Since then it has concentrated on restoring and repairing automobiles. A large part of the new focus is on custom-made products and the devising of special solutions for classic, luxurious and exclusively manufactured automobiles. In a small division, based on the existing machines and expertise, stages are also constructed, lighting systems installed or special living solutions created. The very first automobile model was the VM Seventy Seven from the band. The vehicle was a good replica of the Lotus Seven and with a new price of then 44.232 DM (equivalent to about 22.600 €) to buy. Tuning fans get their money's worth on this model and it was already admired one or the other individual pieces after the vehicle tuning. The successor VM Nardo reminded more of a Porsche and is as an open two-seater.
