The Australian manufacturer gives you the opportunity to enjoy the ultimate living comfort in the most remote areas of the world. And from the outside you can see that the ultra-robust construction doesn't really look like we think. And what works down under can only be the ultimate way to be prepared for all eventualities. Because camping sites in Australia are certainly not as professionally organized as in this country. The chassis and the possible extras are the highlight of the Australian caravan construction. The former is particularly robust thanks to the heavy-duty construction thanks to the steel frame and the trailer is reinforced with protective plates all around to prevent damage. The chassis has put Lotus Caravans on a double axle and fitted them with drawn swingarms and coil springs, which, in particular, should enable great driving stability on bad roads. At the same time, however, they do not lack the necessary comfort. The ability to customize the Lotus Off Grid stands out. For example, there are different colors on the outside, many decorative stickers and even different anodizations for the checker plate cladding can be ordered.

And depending on the desired length, there are individual room concepts that differ, for example, in the location of the wet room and the position of the beds. And the Lotus Off Grid is even available in ten different versions and five different body lengths. They range from 5,13 to 7,16 meters and the overall length of the off-grid caravans tends to be between 7,6 and 9,7 meters. Of course, the equipment of the trailer is also based on the body length. The smallest off-grid caravan, for example, offers four sleeping spaces with the master bed across the rear and one or two single beds in the front. Every hanger has, depending on the desired division and length, a washroom and there is also no need to do without individually separated toilet and shower rooms up to spacious bathrooms. And every trailer also has a generously dimensioned power and water supply.
strong electrical equipment for every model
Two tanks with 95 liters of fresh water each are installed and there is also a large gray water tank. In addition, two gas bottles supply the kitchen and an electric compressor provides the necessary cooling. And of course the electrical system has also been adapted to the extensive equipment. Three solar panels with 170 watts each are used to charge the two AGM body batteries with a capacity of 120 Ah and there is also a separate charger for power from the socket. And, as befits the standard, the optionally available accessories are also extensive. From a state-of-the-art outside cooler to a transport basket for firewood at the rear, everything is thought of. A small drop of bitterness, however, is the price. The top-of-the-range Lotus Caravans with a length of 9,5 meters (Off Grid 23) cost a whopping 104.000 Australian dollars, which is around 63.000 euros. However, a similar copy from Trabbert is even more expensive.
