Also for the camper: Paulownia wood from sustainable cultivation!

If you want to convert your caravan, mobile home or boat for the next season in winter, you should familiarize yourself with the properties of the wood of the bluebell tree. Because Paulownia wood is not only light, dimensionally stable and easy to care for. Processing is relatively easy. It forms very smooth, pore-free surfaces and is also ideal for making furniture. At around 290 kg per m³, Paulownia is one of the lightest woods in the world and is used wherever stable, lightweight wood is required. That is why it is often used in model making. Paulownia enables enormous weight savings to be achieved with panel vans, motorhomes and mobile tiny houses in particular. This leaves a higher reserve for the installation of furniture and technology without exceeding the maximum legally permitted driving weight of 3,5 t.

Properties of paulownia wood

  • Insulates well
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • Easy to edit
  • Low density 290 kg / m³
  • Very dimensionally stable, almost free of distortion

  • Flexible bonding with DEKASIL both wood-wood and wood-metal / PU foam / Styrofoam

Paulownia wood is also easy to care for and is less sensitive to moisture than many other types of wood. The wood does not swell and maintains the measure even when processed. Due to its low density, the surface of the untreated wood is relatively soft and easy to work with. A refinement can be done by oiling, varnishing or a glaze. GreenAkku supplies the wood of the bluebell tree untreated in three variants: firstly as a glued wood panel (2000 x 600 x 18 mm), secondly as paulownia wall or ceiling cladding (2000 x 100 x 10 mm) and thirdly as a stud frame (3500 x 80 x 40 mm) ).

Paulownia wood from sustainable tree nurseries

GreenAkku obtains the paulownia wood from sustainable cultivation. The wood does not come from tropical or primeval forests. The bluebell tree is one of the fastest growing tree species on earth and is characterized by a high level of CO₂ binding. The plant can be used well in the forest or as a plantation tree and is an essential part of innovative, ecological and sustainable cultivation concepts. A young bluebell tree grows particularly quickly, both in height and in width. The annual increase can be two meters. Please also see below wegrow.de. Photo credit: Constant.de
