The team around DTE-Systems GmbH has just presented a new, enhanced car on its website. You can see a modified Audi RS3 of the current 8VA series which is now on the road with a tight 410PS & 557NM and should cause some surprised looks on the highway. In contrast to 421PS Version of Shiftech or the 423PS RS3 from SL-Tuningsolutions DTE does not achieve the increase in performance by means of new engine software but the so-called SENT PowerControl unit, which is now available for many other models. A big plus point is that the SENT PowerControl unit can be installed using plug & play connectors and removed without leaving any residue, thus maintaining the factory warranty. This is not the case with the two RS3s mentioned above. And who is thinking right now "but the above mentioned RS3 have more power " That said, with a performance of over 400PS, a difference of 10PS can be attributed to the test bench on the one hand, to the external conditions and also to the original performance of the factory car on the other. Our recommendation for vehicles with a factory guarantee is therefore clearly “no third-party chip tuning”, but rather a plug & play variant like the one from DTE.
