First the Mercedes Benz SL500 R230 or even the Ferrari Spider 458 and the team is all about the boys (and girls) from cartech.ch (Switzerland) continue. The next project is based on a BMW M550d xDrive that the tuner has adopted. If you look at the previous vehicles known to us, then it's no wonder that we regularly follow the tuner's website and keep an eye out for new cars. We are pleased that we have struck gold again and can show you the modified 5 Series in full beauty. As far as the changes to the design or the technology are concerned, we have already got on the track to find out a few details for you and have also received one or the other information.
More information about the BMW M550d
Among other things, a performance kit on 457PS / 888NM or an HRE Flowform 20 inch wheelset was installed. We cannot promise at this point whether we have discovered every little detail. What we were able to find out based on the information from the tuner and have recognized ourselves in the pictures, we provide you in a summary as always below.
But since we also like to see the proverbial “forest for the trees”, it may well be that we did not notice a change that you immediately notice. If that is the case, and you have recognized further modifications compared to the production model, we would be happy if you write us the changes in the "comment box", we will then add them to the post as soon as possible.

These are the known changes to the series of the BMW M550d:
- Wheel set HRE Flowform 20 inches (color fog gray)
- black kidneys
- Chrome parts painted in "fog"
- Lowering (H&R chassis)
- darkened / tinted windows
- Performance increase - (Chiptuning performance kit on 457PS / 888NM)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
