22 Inch Vossen VPS-302 Wheels on 773PS Tesla Model X.

Reading time 4 Min.

Which vehicle comes to mind to compete with a BMW X5M F85? Maybe one Mercedes GLE63 AMG? Or rather one Porsche Cayenne Turbo S? Ok, it could work and the differences should only be in the tenths of a second. But what if you want to drive away from the X5M and, by the way, a super sports car like that Audi R8 V10 or McLaren 650S want to saw Then there is no way around the Tesla Model X P90D! With an unbelievable 568 kW (773 PS) and an acceleration of 3,4 seconds to 100 km / h (with acceleration upgrade) is the Model X in almost a new Galaxy. Please note that the Lifestyle Offroader weighs a whopping 2441kg and still sprints to 4km / h in under 100 seconds. And what can you tune on such a vehicle, where would you make a change? Which first thought comes to mind when you dive into the subject of tuning? For the masses, including myself, there is the sporty sound-strong exhaust, the lowered chassis and of course a significantly increased performance (Chiptuning etc.) are high on the list of priorities.

On the Model X, however, a sports exhaust does not make sense, nor is it currently possible for tuners to increase the performance. Tuning doesn't always mean faster and louder, but actually giving the vehicle a very personal touch. So why not a couple of alloy wheels? Statistics are mostly secondary, but not to be underestimated. After all, we are talking about 60% of all tuning enthusiasts who initially treated their car to a new wheel set and only later dealt with further measures such as chip tuning etc. In comparison, the dimensions of the replaced rims are at least 1 inch above the sizes of the original factory rims.

The often extremely price-intensive investment hardly leaves any deterrent marks because it actually pays off in retrospect and the design of the car is then presented in a remarkably new shine. Decisive for the highly frequented exchange of the wheel sets is, among other things, the mass suitability of the serial rims, which are often presentable. However, the manufacturer orients itself more towards the large target groups and less towards the individualists. On top of that, the rim selection is made using the manufacturer's configurator and that was of course also the case with this Tesla Model X.

If you put your vehicle together using a configurator, there is ultimately hardly any space for an unmistakable uniqueness. However, there is still a possibility to swim against the current and to be able to detach yourself from the general public. Plan B of the owner of the Model X includes a look at the range of Vossen Wheels. Thanks to the perfect combination, the piece of jewelery is now presented even better with a Vossen Wheels wheel set in an estimated 22 inches and a copper-colored surface. The Model X also owes the newly gained dynamism and the even sportier driving experience to the Vossen Wheels wheelset. No wonder, because Vossen rims are not only known in tuner circles for their first-class quality and, above all, for an exquisite range of products. With these respectable alternatives, the standard wheelsets are quickly overshadowed by the new rims. Further information on tuning measures carried out on the electric SUV can only be found in the photos and what the tuner has published.
