YOKOHAMA shows its competencies in the field of off-road again and again by equipping various teams in races around the globe: a very prominent example is the world-famous Dakar Rally. Recently the GEOLANDAR tires from the Japanese were once again able to shine “off the road”. The recently held King Shocks Area BFE Beatdown is an off-road race in the US state of Utah and part of the ULTRA4 Racing series. At this event, buggies on GEOLANDAR M / T G003 tires took first and second place in the 4800 class. The ULTRA4 Racing series is a series of races in which open buggies, so-called Ultra4 vehicles, compete on different terrain. The runs require a high level of speed, technique and endurance.

The King Shocks Area BFE Beatdown is driven over a rocky and hilly course, about 10 kilometers long. The participants in the 4800 class had to give everything for five laps. The outstanding durability and direct handling of the GEOLANDAR M / T G003 tires contributed to the successful runs of first-placed Cody Young and second-placed David Hartman. And GEOLANDAR tires have once again proven themselves in the long-distance format: At the 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 off-road race, which leads 450 kilometers through the Mexican desert, Kristen Matlock on YOKOHAMA was victorious in the Pro-UTV-NA class. On the extremely difficult terrain, eight participants put on Japanese tires, six of them saw the checkered flag.
