Rich "Ace" Franklin's 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod!

In this country, Richard Jay Franklin II (aka Rich "ACE") is certainly not known to many. But the former US mixed martial arts fighter, who used to be a math teacher, was quite a big hit in the US. He is a former two-time UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) middleweight champion and, until his retirement in 2012, had a match record of 29 wins, seven losses and one uncontested fight. That! And why are we telling you this? Because this beautiful Chevrolet Camaro Custom Coupe (VIN 123377N200862) from 1967 Franklin (still) owns. He was once given the vehicle by Dana White (UFC President) as a thank you for his work as a coach on the television show The Ultimate Fighter. It was built by Matt Hunt Muscle Cars. And what lurks under the bonnet in particular really rocks. One is installed EFI GM Performance Big Block 502ci (8,23 liters) Crate engine. The engine is drilled out to an insane 565 ci (9,25 liters) and was with 675 PS measured. Incidentally, the fully restored classic is shifted by means of TREMEC Magnum six-speed T56 Pro-Fit transmission and the power goes exclusively to them Rear wheels.

lacquered you have the Chevy in a noble dark gray with a striking green Contrast stripes is decorated. There is a lot to be seen on the body Chromium. About the minimalist ones purse front and back, to the Window frames, the wheel arch surrounds or Door handles. At the same time, unnecessary trim parts were removed so that the body is as clean as possible. And the new one is also chrome-plated wheelset. Specifically installed are rounds of the Budnik billet-spoke wheel type, which bring exactly the right amount of chrome to the Camaro and behind which there is a massive 6-piston sports brake system hidden by Wilwood. And the two-tone theme continues in the inner space away. Here, too, it is the green accents in particular that stand out. The rest of the cabin is all black with lots of leather. Highlights in the cabin include Instruments the Autometer Carbon series, Aluminum pedals, Budnik billet steering wheel, custom-made Carbon details on the dashboard and as decorative strips, one Alpine head unit, JL audio components , and a Orion amplifier for a befitting soundscape.

And of course the white one too Gear levers, which protrudes from the dashboard, cannot be overlooked. But what else has come into the oldi? We found out a few (but by no means all) details. The engine is equipped with a Mallory Pro Master ignition, a March Performance Billet Big Block strap systemto direct injection, Edelbrock Headers, a polished Intake manifold from Edelbrock and newer water pump and Aluminum cooler by Ron Davis Racing Products. The list could be continued for a long time. If you really want to know all the changes, you can HERE read.
