Again with V8 - the 2020 Porsche Cayenne GTS (PO536)

Sportiness and exclusivity in a double pack: With the Cayenne GTS and the Cayenne GTS Coupé, Porsche is adding two new models to the SUV series that are designed for high driving performance. As is typical of the GTS, the drive is of particular importance: Instead of the 3,6-liter V6 biturbo from the previous model, a V8 heart beats again under the bonnet of the Cayenne GTS. The four-liter twin turbo provides 338 kW (460 PS; Cayenne GTS: combined fuel consumption 11,4 - 11,2 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 260 - 255 g / km; Cayenne GTS Coupé: combined fuel consumption 11,4 - 11,2 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 260 - 256 g / km) and 620 Nm torque for significantly improved performance in all disciplines. Both GTS models with the Sport Chrono Package sprint from zero to 100 km / h in 4,5 seconds, and the top speed is 270 km / h. A performance-oriented chassis with lowering, an independent design and upgraded equipment round off the new GTS package.

Powerful, efficient, emotional

With the four-liter V8 biturbo engine known from the top Cayenne model, developed by Porsche, the new Cayenne GTS now delivers 14 kW (20 hp) and 20 Nm more than its predecessor. This leads to significantly improved driving performance, which also applies to the new Cayenne GTS Coupé: The standard sprint from zero to 100 km / h is now 0,6 seconds faster than before with the Sport Chrono Package. The top speed has increased by eight km / h. At the same time, value was placed on efficiency, which among other things contributed to the perfectly coordinated Tiptronic S eight-speed automatic transmission, the adaptive cylinder deactivation, the direct fuel injection with central injector position and the sophisticated thermal management. According to NEDC combined, the sportiest Cayenne models consume 11,4 to 11,2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

In line with the impressive driving performance, the GTS-specific configured sports exhaust system ensures a highly emotional sound experience. The standard, externally arranged exhaust system was designed for a sporty, voluminous sound with its own character. A new development is the high-frequency matched sports exhaust system with two centrally positioned oval tailpipes, which will be offered exclusively for the Cayenne GTS Coupé and in the future also for the Cayenne Turbo Coupé - each in conjunction with the optional lightweight sports package.

20 mm lower / sporty dampers

The suspension set-up of the new Cayenne GTS models creates the ideal conditions for outstanding lateral dynamics. The standard steel spring suspension including the active and sporty designed damper control Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) includes a lowering of the body by 20 millimeters. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also on board from the factory. In conjunction with the standard 21-inch RS Spyder design wheels and the generously dimensioned cast iron brake (390 by 38 millimeters at the front, 358 by 28 millimeters at the rear) with red brake calipers, the new Cayenne GTS models transfer the agility and spontaneity of a real sports car to the SUV segment. The deceleration can optionally be optimized using the Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with a tungsten carbide coating or the ceramic brake Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB). Other options include the three-chamber air suspension with a ten-millimeter lowering, rear-axle steering and active roll stabilization Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC).

Sport design package and GTS-typical accents ex works

The standard Sport Design package in combination with numerous black accents ensures a unique and exclusive appearance. The new Cayenne GTS models roll on silky black 21-inch RS Spyder design wheels as standard. The LED main headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and the LED rear light strip are darkened. The front air intakes, the side window strips, the tailpipes of the sports exhaust system and the model or PORSCHE lettering on the rear are also basically black. High-quality materials such as Alcantara® on the headlining, on the seat center panels, the armrests of the center console and doors, as well as dark brushed aluminum, make the sporty, elegant claim of the Cayenne GTS models visible and tangible even in the interior.

standard sports seats with eight-way adjustment

The standard sports seats with eight-way adjustment offer optimum support during dynamic cornering thanks to the additional increase in the side bolsters. They are reserved exclusively for the new GTS models. "GTS" lettering can be found on the front doors, the door sill guards, the rev counter and the headrests. The numerous customization options include the GTS interior package with additional color accents in carmine red or chalk, such as decorative stitching. The new Porsche Cayenne GTS models can be ordered now and will be at dealerships in early July. In Germany, prices start at 114.087 euros for the Cayenne GTS and 118.490 euros for the Cayenne GTS Coupé - each including VAT and with country-specific features.
