Quite rare in the tuning segment is still the BMW X4 (F26). Every now and then come a few vehicles M-Performance Parts or different foiling. Otherwise you tend to hold back. LUMMA Design has now thought of tackling the X4 issue a little more extensively. The X2014 (F4) has been around since 26 and closes the gap between the smaller X3 and the large premium models such as the X5 or X6. Based on the model - X6 - the X4 is also designed as an SUV coupé and this fact alone makes it an eye-catcher, this silhouette still looks somehow special on an SUV. With a few subtle changes, LUMMA Design manages to change the crossover SUV in exactly the right places and make it look even more exclusive. Probably the biggest change is the new wheelset. The in-house CLR Racing rims in the dimensions 10 x 22 inches were installed on the front and rear.
They are fitted with Vredestein tires in size 295 / 25-22 all around and the wheelset gives the impression of being exactly the right size for the X4. Technically, by the way, this is the maximum that can be built, wider is only possible with complex bodywork. LUMMA also offers lowering kits so that the wheel set sits optimally in the wheel arch. They ensure that the X4 moves 35 millimeters towards the road. The red painted brake calipers, which can also be ordered in any other color, depending on the customer's requirements, also set a visual accent. They are also available with or without the LUMMA logo. And there is also more sportiness at the rear. Here, four-pipe rear silencers are installed, each with two 90 mm pipes, which are reminiscent of an M model with their duplex arrangement. The system is suitable for various petrol and diesel models.
And while the gasoline engine comes with all options for a sporty sound ex works, it looks different with the diesel. That is why LUMMA Design has an optional V8 sound booster up its sleeve for all diesel variants. It ensures a significantly more powerful, charismatic engine sound. And the interior can also be upgraded. Available are aluminum pedals with non-slip rubber studs and new foot and trunk mats made of premium velor including elegant leather edging, LUMMA emblem and elegant double stitching.
