800 hp in the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK!

BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK: BRABUS is now offering a new, particularly exclusive variant of its off-road pickup based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 under this label. Completely black inside and out, as has been characteristic of the refiner for more than four decades. At 5,31 meters, the BRABUS supercar is not only 68,9 centimeters longer than a standard G-Class without a spare wheel at the rear. It also has a wheelbase that is 50 centimeters longer. A newly designed steel module with side walls made of carbon forms the rear with loading area. In order to equip the high-end pickup for the toughest off-road use, the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK received a specially designed BRABUS special chassis with portal axles. This achieves a ground clearance of 49 centimetres. The engine is just as unique as the vehicle design and the chassis: the BRABUS 800 eight-cylinder biturbo with a displacement of four liters drives the all-wheel drive vehicle with 588 kW / 800 hp and 1 Nm of torque. The BRABUS 000 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK accelerates to 800 km/h in just 4,8 seconds. Due to the high center of gravity and the 100-inch all-terrain tires, the top speed is electronically limited to 22 km/h. The black interior of the BRABUS SUPERBLACK Edition pays homage to the year 210, when Bodo Buschmann founded the BRABUS brand: The year of birth of the brand is discreet in the interior, but still unmistakable, with the brand pattern "Heritage" with "1977" precisely embossed into the leather “ Logos immortalized.

BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK

The BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP is the exclusive high-performance pickup in the BRABUS supercar portfolio. BRABUS is not only the largest manufacturer-independent automobile refiner in the world, but is also accredited as a vehicle manufacturer by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority in Flensburg. With the SUPERBLACK Edition, there is now a variant of this all-terrain high-performance pickup that, in the best brand tradition, is completely black inside and out. Numerous visible carbon elements set sporty accents. In order to clearly indicate what an extravagant supercar this pickup is, the 800 logos on the body have a white background, as does the BRABUS signet on the rear. The signature stripes in the carbon radiator grille were designed in the same contrasting colour.

Wheel suspension lengthened by 50 centimetres

The BRABUS engineers used state-of-the-art design and construction software to construct the XLP. Extensive calculations, simulations and tests resulted in a special module for the off-road vehicle's steel ladder frame. It is also responsible for the fact that the wheelbase is extended by 50 centimeters by moving the rear suspension mounts back. Of course, the high torsional rigidity of the G-Class is fully retained. The focus of the BRABUS developers for the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP was not only the pickup body, but also superior off-road mobility thanks to high ground clearance and maximum axle articulation. For this, the BRABUS engineers and technicians developed a special suspension with portal axles.

At the front, the new construction for the G-Class was designed as an independent wheel suspension. All the components required for this, such as the completely new integral carrier and the wishbones, are milled from the solid using state-of-the-art CNC technology. At the rear, as with the base vehicle, the rigid axle principle of the base vehicle remains. For this, too, numerous parts had to be redesigned for the portal axle principle and produced from high-strength aluminum. This includes not only all the suspension links, but also the reinforced axle housing. This creates a new axle geometry that makes a decisive contribution to the outstanding heavy-duty off-road properties of the BRABUS pickup. Another special design is the titanium-coated, height-adjustable BRABUS Ride Control coilover kit for the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK, which was specially tuned to the high ground clearance provided by the portal axles. The setup of the suspension can be selected in the cockpit using the standard DYNAMIC SELECT suspension adjustment of the current Mercedes G-Class. This allows you to choose different setups not only for the chassis, but also for the drive, steering and assistance systems.

black painted BRABUS Monoblock HD wheels

The BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK rolls on black-painted BRABUS Monoblock HD wheels with eight-hole mounting that were specially designed for these portal axles. The 9.5Jx22 light-alloy rims, designed for maximum strength, make optimal use of the space under the visible carbon fender flares with Pirelli Scorpion ATR All-Terrain tires measuring 325/55 R 22. Not only was a longer special cardan shaft developed to match the longer chassis of the pickup, but also the new rear end with loading area, which harmoniously connects to the unchanged, spacious passenger cabin of the G-Class. This results in a total length of 5,31 meters.

For this purpose, elements such as the new rear wall for the cabin, of course with a heated rear window, the robust floor of the loading area and the tailgate that opens to the side were made from sheet steel. The side walls of the loading area are made of carbon using the complex prepreg process. The Flexi-Teak planking, also in black, is a direct technology transfer from the construction of high-performance boats by BRABUS Marine. The complex material mix for the body guarantees a perfect fit, maximum strength and high resilience. Of course, the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP is TÜV-tested.

Carbon parts made from high-tech compound

The carbon parts for the loading area are not the only components made from this high-tech compound that CSP, a division of the BRABUS Group, manufactures for this pickup. The BRABUS bonnet attachment with two power domes and the BRABUS wind deflector mounted above the windshield with four additional LED lights are also produced here. The fender flares also come from this production line. They were adapted from the BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody version for the current Mercedes G-Class models, of course painted in black on the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK and additionally provided with visible carbon wheel arches. They make the pickup 11,6 centimeters wider than the base car. The side body strips made of the same high-tech material add further attractive accents.

The WIDESTAR apron with large air inlets was also taken from this styling package for the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK and upgraded with a front protection bar and cable winch with a pulling force of 4 kilograms. The robust underbody protection is also made of carbon fiber, which is sealed with a high-gloss coating like all other visible carbon components on this supercar. The double bar behind the cab of the BRABUS 500 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK is also black, effectively rounding off the exciting pickup look of this supercar. The holder for the spare canisters, which are of course also painted black, and the spare wheel holder on the loading area are also colour-coordinated. If you want to go on a big expedition, you will appreciate the massive roof rack on the passenger cabin, which can also be upgraded with a roof tent for outdoor campers.

black coated running boards

The BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK has black-coated running boards to make it easier to get in and out of the car with the high ground clearance. They have been adapted to the longer wheelbase of the pickup and can be supplemented with additional steps that extend downwards electrically if required. LED lights in the extensions, which are activated by pulling a door handle or the Keyless Go signal when approaching the vehicle, help ensure safe stepping even in the dark. They illuminate the ground to the left and right of the vehicle as well as the tread surfaces of the rocker strips. The rear view is not only characterized by the pickup flap, which reveals the origin of this supercar with a visible carbon cover with recessed BRABUS lettering: The rear view is rounded off by the WIDESTAR apron with a hint of visible carbon underride protection. The handles with inlaid BRABUS lettering on the doors and tailgate demonstrate the great attention to detail.

As is the best BRABUS supercar tradition, the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK naturally also has a particularly powerful drive. The four-liter eight-cylinder biturbo engine of the current G 63 AMG received a thorough performance upgrade from BRABUS. The BRABUS 800 PowerXtra + includes the replacement of the two series chargers with two newly configured BRABUS high-performance turbos. In addition to a larger compressor unit, they feature a modified core assembly with reinforced axial bearings. They build up a maximum of 1,6 bar boost pressure. In line with the replacement of the chargers, new maps for injection, charge pressure control and ignition were programmed, which are provided by a BRABUS PowerXtra module adapted in plug-and-play technology. In accordance with the type designation BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK, the engine in this configuration produces 588 kW / 800 hp at 6 rpm. The maximum torque is 600 Nm at just 1.000 rpm.

only 4,8 seconds to 100 km / h

The exclusive pick-up from Bottrop thus achieves driving performance in an extremely superior manner that is outstanding for a pick-up that weighs 2 kilograms: in perfect interaction with the nine-speed automatic transmission, which can also be shifted manually with the black BRABUS RACE aluminum shift paddles on the steering wheel , and all-wheel drive, the supercar with loading platform accelerates to 936 km/h in just 4,8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 100 km/h due to the all-terrain tires. But the high-performance engine not only impresses with its enormous performance. It also has acoustic qualities: With the BRABUS Boost Xtra Sound Kit for the bypass valve, the supercharged engine produces a clearly audible "blow off" sound when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator.

Another, not only audible treat is the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system. The integrated flap control makes it possible to choose between a discreet "Coming Home" mode or a decidedly sporty V8 sound. The sidepipe-look system, with two tailpipes each on the left and right in front of the rear wheels, also has a very special visual detail: the tailpipes are framed by a visible carbon cover with an integrated Launch Ambience Light, which lights up red when the interior lighting is activated. Black in black is of course also the motto in the interior of the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK: A particularly exclusive BRABUS Masterpiece interior was made in the in-house upholstery shop, which perfectly combines the finest black leather with sporty carbon elements. The headliner was upholstered with black Alcantara.

Seats in a conch diamond design

This high-end refinement not only includes the interior, including the vehicle floor, being upholstered with the finest black leather. The center sections of the seats are quilted in a shell diamond design and are also perforated with millimeter precision. Many interior elements have been upgraded with the Heritage Brand Pattern, which pays tribute to the year BRABUS was founded with its embossed “77” signets. Carbon elements on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console and door panels set sporty accents in the cockpit. There are also aluminum components such as pedals, door locking pins and the ergonomically shaped BRABUS RACE shift paddles on the steering wheel. The great BRABUS attention to detail is also demonstrated by a total of 206 cockpit elements such as covers, handles, switches, speaker covers and ventilation nozzles, which were glazed in "Shadow Chrome" to match the interior design. The BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK is available from 725.900 euros (price including statutory VAT in Germany).
