Up to 630 hp: the dÄHLer Competition Line BMW M3 Touring (G81)!

After long years of waiting is the first BMW M3 Touring finally become a reality. The G81 was launched in November last year and you can already see the first models that have already been modified, drive on the streets. And the rival of the AMG C 63 S Estate and the Audi RS 4 is also a welcome model in the dÄHLer Competition Line. The Swiss experts have given the Munich power station wagon a comprehensive optimization package.

By default, the Touring comes as a Competition with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission. Therefore, its 3,0-liter S58 straight-six with biturbo charging already delivers 510 PS & 650 Nm ex works. For customers for whom that is not enough, dÄHLer offers the proven performance increase "powered by dÄHLer". Already in level 1 this provides 610 PS & 720 Nm. The program also includes a sports air filter and a carbon air intake.

Instead of the OEM exhaust system, dÄHLer always installs a high-performance complete exhaust system made of high-quality stainless steel with bi-flap control. This is rounded off by ceramic-coated tailpipes with either 100 or 114 millimeters in diameter. As usual with dÄHLer, all of the hardware and software upgrades mentioned meet the regulations of the WLTP Euro 6d standards and there is an EU/CH approval report for separate or joint use in all possible combinations. And if you want even better performance, you'll be happy too. For export, the dÄHLer Competition Line offers the stage 2 performance upgrade, which even releases 630 PS & 740 Nm.

Diverse chassis options

In the chassis area, dÄHLer also has several options for optimization. It starts with a sports spring set "built by dÄHLer" that is perfectly matched to optics and technology, which lowers the front axle by 28 millimeters and the rear axle by 15 millimeters, so that the M3T is perfectly balanced. However, the high-performance coilover suspension "built by dÄHLer" enables even higher driving dynamics and more extensive adjustment options. With its height and hardness adjustment in compression and rebound as well as high and low speed ranges, it is possible to adjust a perfect, individual set-up. And to improve the braking system, sports brake pads and steel braided lines complete the range.

Light and stylish: CDC2 Forged wheels

Instead of the standard 20/21-inch wheel/tyre combination, the DÄHLer Competition Line equips the M3 Touring with 21-inch forged wheels all round. The new rim highlight CDC2 Forged was specially developed for the M3/M4 models from a technical and visual point of view. The dynamic design, which combines a double-spoke and a Y-spoke star, is particularly attractive. There are also elegant, partially polished fronts. Furthermore, the low weight leads to a reduction in the rotating and unsprung masses, which of course significantly improves the driving dynamics. The M sports car equipped with CDC2 drives noticeably more precisely in corners. The dimensions of the rims for the M3 Touring measure 9,5×21 and 10,5×21 inches with tires in 275/25ZR21 and 295/25ZR21.

Individually designable carbon parts!

To refine the body, dÄHLer has also developed a carbon front spoiler lip, which gives the G8x a unique front design. While it is mounted on the vehicle shown in a bi-color design, it is of course also available with a clear coat of paint and visible carbon as an alternative. The same applies to the dÄHLer mirror caps and the rear diffuser. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
