Special model: the 2023 Ford Kuga Graphite Tech Edition!

Ford refines the SUV model Kuga with a special series with striking design elements and numerous first-class assistance systems. The new Kuga Graphite Tech Edition* appears as the first version of the model range in the eye-catching Gray Matter color and offers some of the most innovative and sought-after driver assistance systems as standard. For example, the special model can park independently in urban areas and automatically maintain the desired distance from the cars ahead on freeways. In terms of powertrain options, the full range of engines in the Kuga range is available for the Graphite Tech Edition - including plug-in hybrid (PHEV), full hybrid, EcoBlue diesel and EcoBoost petrol variants*. The Kuga PHEV** was the best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle in Europe in 2021 and 2022. Manufactured at Ford's Valencia factory in Spain, the Kuga Graphite Tech Edition is available to order now. The first copies are to be delivered to customers in June. Selling price (gross): from €1.

Ford Kuga Graphite Tech Edition

  • The Graphite Tech Edition of the Ford Kuga combines eye-catching design elements with a variety of standard, modern driver assistance systems
  • New 19-inch alloy wheels in high-gloss black contrast attractively with the exclusive "Grey Matter" body finish
  • Extensive technology package with adaptive cruise control, blind spot assistant, head-up display, LED headlights and parking assistance

“There are many factors that make the Kuga an important and successful part of our model range. This includes the variety of drive options, including the best-selling plug-in hybrid, the sporty design and the superior driving experience," explains Jon Williams, General Manager Ford Blue Europe. "Now we're bringing an equally attractive version onto the market: the Graphite Tech Edition combines the most impressive appearance of a Kuga to date with the assistance systems that are most in demand by our customers."

Gray Matter: trend color for fashion-conscious drivers

Shades of gray are currently considered a particularly popular trend color among car buyers in Europe: in 2022, 27 percent of all new registrations were painted in this color - a top value among all shades2. The new Gray Matter body color is exclusively available for the Kuga Graphite Tech Edition. It is particularly effective thanks to the contrast to the exclusive 19-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, which are finished in glossy black.

The special model also has all the design elements of the ST-Line package. These include, for example, the large roof spoiler and red painted brake calipers. The interior has an extremely sporty atmosphere thanks to aluminum pedals and front door sill panels in ST-Line design. Additionally, Ford offers the Black Package as an option. A Kuga with this decal package is characterized by the striking black design of the roof, shiny exterior mirror caps, air intakes in the front end and rear spoiler. Consequently, the 20-inch light-alloy wheels are also finished in high-gloss black.

Numerous modern driver assistance systems integrated as standard

In 2021, 40 percent of all Kuga buyers have already opted for the driver assistance package. In 2022, almost half of all new car buyers chose it for their Kuga. This package makes driving easier by bringing together systems that automatically adjust speed to traffic on motorways, warn of vehicles in blind spots, automatically limit maximum speed to the specified limit, enable parking maneuvers without driver intervention and much more.

Ford also equips the Kuga Graphite Tech Edition with the technology package as standard. The systems it contains improve your own vision and the safety of other road users, for example thanks to the LED headlights with automatic dimming. Thanks to the head-up display, the driver can keep his eyes on the traffic situation at all times - it shows important driving data such as speed and navigation instructions directly in the line of sight.
