When it comes to reviving classic cars, that is Design Velke, based in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, a real one Tip. After a wood protection primer In Detroit the car received its eye-catching green paint. But that is just the beginning of the extensive transformation. The technical upgrade starts with the heart: one customized 3,2 liter engine. This one got 98 mm Mahle cylinder, an original crankshaft, 911 SC cylinder heads, GT3 main bearings, new chain tensioners, custom-made valve springs, stainless steel manifold and much more donated. The engine now overperforms with the tuning 280 PS and also enjoys one oil pump from a 996 (911), completed by a specially developed one Sports exhaust system. Even that one harness is new. It was tailor-made in the Netherlands and stripped down to the bare essentials to reduce clutter and keep everything clean and tidy.

Dave Welky, owner of Design Velkē, describes the car’s interior as “extremely spartan“. And if you look at the video and photos, it hits the nail on the head. Apart from the three-spoke one Momo sports steering wheel, the individual Instruments and the contemporary one sports seats, the cabin is deliberately kept simple. This underlines the focus of the vehicle: to provide pure, unadulterated driving pleasure.
