Rocket Bunny's Nissan Silvia V2 Boss is a JDM-USDM mix.

If you think of Rocket Bunny (Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto) thinks extreme widebody kits come to mind first, which are so wide that you have to be afraid to get stuck or damage the kit in narrow streets. But the Japanese cult tuning company can do it very differently, and presents a conversion kit that looks like it would quote a Plymouth Barracuda on the front. This kit fits a Nissan Silvia S14, which has already represented the sixth generation of the Japanese sports coupe, and turns the cult car of the JDM scene, which was sold in Europe as the Nissan 200 SX, into a bizarre JDM-USDM mix. Whether such a bizarre mix of styles is really nice remains to be seen, but we would still like to introduce the Cuda-Silvia to you.

The front and rear somehow do not fit

In contrast to other Rocket Bunny kits, which widen the car very much, the wheelhouses on this V2 Boss kit are only moderately wider and the package does not contain any side skirts. The first thing that catches the eye is of course the transformation of the headlights, as the modification kit contains circular lights, which, as already described above, clearly borrowed from American muscle cars from the 1970s, and the kit also contains some Opel design from this era. In addition, the modifications include a spoiler lip at the rear and a completely redesigned rear apron with diffuser. As a result, the front and rear look as if they were from two completely different cars, and the whole car looks like a piece of design technology, since the standard taillights of a Nissan Silvia just do not fit harmoniously into the muscle car line, as we find .

Silvia was available with two engines

The engine of the sixth generation Nissan Silvia, which was built from 1993 to 1999, was either a 2-liter turbo gasoline engine with 220 hp or a 2,4-liter suction gasoline engine with 155 hp. Of course, the turbo gasoline engine was the much more popular variant, especially in the JDM tuning scene, as there are still all sorts of tuning accessories for this engine on the market that make the hearts of Silvia fans beat faster. The suction gasoline variant was the entry-level version and was somewhat misunderstood as a secretary Ferrari, although it also looked relatively sporty for the time and offered high driving dynamics due to the standard rear-wheel drive. So today Silvia is out of the drift car- An indispensable scene, and enjoys great popularity worldwide, among adrenaline junkies who love to drive sideways and prove this in breathtaking competitions.

The model shown is for sale in Japan.

The white model from 1996, which was provided with the Rocket Bunny Conversion Kit, is currently for sale at R-Freaks in Japan. For 2.490.000 yen, which corresponds to around 22.000 euros, the Silvia should change hands. Of course, the motorsport wheelset in Gild and the pimped up cabin with Sparco F-200 bucket seat and a Momo sports steering wheel are also included. If you are interested in it, you have to visit the page r-freaks.jp, and you will surely find your way around there a bit before you are lucky enough to come across this Silvia, who takes a bit of getting used to.
