It is one of the most iconic and at the same time one of the cutest off-roaders in the world. With its compact dimensions, all-wheel drive and high ground clearance, the Suzuki Jimny effortlessly through rough terrain for decades, and enchants off-road fans from all over the world. This is also the case Down Under, where the Australian branch of the Japanese car manufacturer has now launched a special edition of the small Kraxler, which is limited to 300 pieces. This variant is called Jimny Heritage Limited Edition and is only available on the Fifth Continent. We would still like to introduce the vehicle to you.
Retro design all round!
With the model would like Suzuki reminiscent of the good old days, more precisely the 70s and 80s, when the cult surrounding the brand's smallest off-roader arose. The highlight of the special series are the decorative stripes in orange and red, which run once around the flank to the rear of the car. They also feature the iconic Jimny logo with rhino graphics. There are also red mud flaps with white "SUZUKI" letters as well as 15-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights as standard equipment. The Heritage Limited Edition is available in White, Jungle Green, Medium Gray and Bluish Black exterior colors.
The interior is modern!
The cockpit is peppered with all sorts of modern comfort and safety features, including a leather steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment screen with navigation system, a reversing camera, an audio system, automatic climate control, cruise control, emergency brake assist and lane departure warning. The small retro vehicle is therefore up to date in terms of comfort and safety.
A 1,5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine drives the Jimny!
The new 1,5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with four cylinders generates a meager 102 hp and a low 130 Newton meters of maximum torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the Jimny has a reduction gear for difficult terrain.
Our conclusion:
- congratulations to Suzuki, to launch a special edition of the cult off-roader. However, for AU$33.490 (€21.000) we would have liked more power and torque than the production model.
