300 PS in the Toyota Corolla GR? The rumor mill is simmering!

Info: carsensor.net

Discussions about a possible one have been boiling for a few days Toyota Corolla GR (Performance version, could be based on a five-door Corolla Sport) high again. Does the hatchback come with AWD all-wheel drive? How high is the price? Is he getting the GR Yaris engine? When is the market launch? Question after question. That a Toyota GR Corolla with the three-cylinder GR Yaris could come, but that is obvious. But will it possibly get a bit stronger? After all, it is bigger and heavier than the Yaris and in a different class. There are currently new rumors. The Corolla as a sporty GR version could allegedly with around 300 PS be the next GR interpretation alongside the GR Yaris and the GR Supra. And the engine would also be an indication that Toyota won't electrify the car. And that the 1,6-liter three-cylinder can do more than the 261 hp and 360 Nm from the Yaris, that already has various tuning vehicles proved.

Six-speed gearshift and all-wheel drive

The way food is Six-speed transmission as the all wheel drive probably tolerate a little more than in the Yaris GR. However, with 300 hp ex works the limit of shelf life has already been exhausted (perhaps too much). Visually it would probably change you radiator grill including enlarged air inlets, larger ones Rims, a fitting Bremsanlage, a sporty one Suspension and give a few details in the cabin to be considered GR Corolla to introduce. This would give the Hyundai i30 N and the VW Golf GTi a mighty competition. Incidentally, as early as March 2020, Toyota had the name “GR Corolla” registered with the Australian patent office. In terms of price, we would consider the Hot Hatch period 40.000 Euros to settle. If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report. 1. Love it, I actually just bought the GR Corolla but the Hybrid Model. Didn't know this was coming. I love the rims and would like to purchase them. Can you help me direct me in the right way to get my hands on these rims? Maybe the name of the rims or after market rims to the same look?

    Thank you
    Harvey de Vries
