JP Performance's G3 project: Crazy VW Golf 3 with Audi V10 power!

The G3 project from JP Performance, also known as #G3V10 on the internet, is an incredibly crazy transformation of a VW Golf 3 (MK3) that has the heart of a Audi R8 was equipped. Actually as a crazy Instagram drawing by Andrew Richter (AR Visual), the project took its current form over the course of more than a year, with large companies such as, among others Prior Design. They were round 300.000 EUR invested in the construction, a sum that easily competes with that of real sports cars. The presentation of the approximately 80% completed vehicle took place at the Food Motor Show 2023 (ends today). For the production of the unique piece, which is actually a Tubular frame KitCar and has hardly anything in common with a Golf 3, countless hours of work were necessary.

VW Golf 3 “G3” project

Andreas Belzek, founder of Prior Design, describes the G3 project as one of the most difficult vehicles they have ever worked on. The challenges ranged from redesigning the bonnet, or the Doors up to the fat ones side skirts. However, the heart of the project is this Audi V10, which comes from the R8, recognizable by many Details and of course the position of the gearbox and cardan shaft. And the “future plans” even include the engine soon two turbochargers to upgrade, there already blow-off valves are integrated into the exhaust system. There is currently wild speculation online that the engine might have an output of 1.000 1.500 to PS could achieve. By the way, the look of the conversion is striking mint green paint from Colorkraft and forged NFN rims from Rotiform.

classic Hella headlights in the G3

Despite the massive modifications, the car retains its cool features Hella tuning headlights, an allusion to the VW Jetta out "The Fast and The Furious“. We are excited to see whether there may be one after the project is completed Golf 3 widebody kit for the street is created. Overall, JP Performance's G3 project is not just complete crazy technical achievement, but also a cool nod to tuning culture by turning a boring VW Golf 3 into a supercar with a budget of over 300.000 EUR was transformed. A detailed one Video series There is information about the vehicle at the end of the article. All videos from JP about the project HERE.
