And again, the Audi A8 S8 climbs up one floor in the ABT performance rack! Two years ago the Allgäu tuner brought the first performance upgrade for the current top model of the A8 series onto the market. At that time, the S8 was already producing a whopping 382 kW / 520 PS and, ABT conjured up a remarkable 675 PS and a maximum torque of 840 Newton meters. Enough to fly from 3,6-0km / h in just 100 seconds and not put an end to the whole thing up to 290km / h. Shortly afterwards, the S8 Plus with standard 605PS came onto the market from Ingolstadt and it was clear that ABT would not leave this untouched either. In May of this year, the tuner announced that the S8 is ready to stir up the upper class with now 705PS & 840NM torque. While the acceleration from 0-100km / h was only slightly better (3,5 seconds) the V-Max was. with now 320km / h another house number. And now ABT is stepping up again, the S8 Plus gets a further increase in performance to 541 kW / 735 PS and an impressive 920 Nm maximum torque that is already available at just over 2.000 rpm. The lavish performance is only achieved with super expensive 102 octane fuel, but who cares with a total price of over € 175.000 !? If you let the S8 fly right from the start, it goes from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3,3 seconds and without interrupting thrust up to the, still governed, top speed of 320 km / h. If the high weight weren't so damaging to the tires, the luxury liner would certainly have a good 340km / h, but due to the safety this is unfortunately not currently possible and so the electronic lock remains.

Other available modifications are the ABT stainless steel silencer system including front silencer replacement pipe and the already known ABT aluminum rims in 20, 21 or 22 inch format. An optional electronic lowering by up to 25 millimeters is also possible and is certainly recommended due to the increased performance. As already mentioned, the ABT S8 comes with the increase in performance for 24.555 euros at a base price of almost 175.000 euros because the basic model as S8 Plus already costs a whopping 145.800 euros ex works. A good year before the current A8 generation is replaced, we are now assuming that ABT will close the chapter with this variant, obwohl, only yesterday we reported about it B&B conjures up crazy 6PS & 7NM torque from the RS820 / RS960, the engine is the same 😉 Hmmmm…. ABT Sportsline GmbH has published the modified S8 Plus the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the pictures. So if you have been secretly thinking about buying an S8 for a long time, or if you are already a happy owner, ABT is certainly an interesting starting point when it comes to individually differentiating the vehicle from the production model. And for all those who are not necessarily located in the vicinity of the tuner, the vehicle may serve as a tuning template for the tuning partner on site.
