Even though it has been the new model since 2015 4S The old generation of the R8 is anything but outdated or even boring to buy. We discovered the perfect example yesterday on the timeline from the rim label Zito Wheels and we absolutely have to show you the Ingolstadt athlete! The R8 received a complete carbon body kit whose origin (manufacturer) is unfortunately completely unknown to us. But optically it fits the R8 perfectly and trims it a little bit in the direction of the new 4S model. Especially the front bumper with its extremely large air inlets on the right and left as well as the huge radiator grille makes the R8 appear much more beefy than the production model and you have to look twice to see a difference to the current model. The frames around the radiator grille and the air inlets, which are made of carbon fiber and set a clear accent to the white paintwork, are visually very striking.
Subtle carbon sill approaches were installed on the side and the rear bumper, with its side air openings and the large diffuser, is completely new. And of course, carbon was not dispensed with at the rear either, and for example the fixed rear spoiler is completely made of carbon! The bumper is also adorned with air vents and the diffuser in the look of the ultra-light and high-strength material. Optically perfectly matching, the R8 was given a 20-inch Zito Wheels ZS05 wheelset in glossy black and the white "Michelin" lettering on the tires in particular set another highlight. Obviously, a lowering was installed and if you can believe the sticker on the side window then the two large black tailpipes at the rear belong to an Akrapovic sports exhaust system. Unfortunately no technical information (apart from the rims) published about the vehicle so that we are in the dark about this. Of course, if we get more information about the changes, there will be, as always, an update for this report.
