“Audi gave me the opportunity to test the car for a few days in Germany,” reports Ken Block. The entire development and technology of the S1 Hoonitron was developed at Audi Sport at the Neckarsulm site - that fits perfectly: the Audi RS e-tron GT is also built here. "When we first heard about this project, the whole team was immediately enthusiastic: We had the chance to develop a car that connects an icon of our brand with the future“Says the Audi chief designer. The challenges were great: "The aim was to create a modern, all-electric interpretation of the S1 Pikes Peak. The schedule was extremely tight: While our design process usually takes one to one and a half years, we only had four weeks from the first drawing to the finished design. We were in constant contact with Ken Block and his team and exchanged ideas intensively."

The fans will soon be able to experience for themselves how well the US star succeeds: Ken Block and his team will use the S1 Hoonitron to produce the next episode of the famous Gymkhana videos.
