BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products)

The manufacturer BRP = Bombardier Recreational Products (also called Bombardier Produits Récréatifs) is a Canadian company headquartered in Valcourt. BRP produces various land and water vehicles and also produces its own engines. In 2003, BRP was removed from Bombardier and acquired by the Bombardier family and a group of investors as a completely independent company. There are the brands Ski-Doo (builds snowmobiles), Lynx (builds snowmobiles), Sea Doo (builds jet boats), Can Am (builds all-terrain vehicles, quads, Can-Am Spyder), Evinrude (builds outboard motors) and the manufacturer Johnson (builds outboard motors). There is also the Austrian subsidiary BRP-Powertrain. This company produces engines for aircraft, snowmobiles, ride-on boats, ATVs and even for isolated motorbikes under the Rotax brand. BRP has been one of the world's leading manufacturers of motorized leisure vehicles for years. The origin can be found in Valcourt, Quebec (Canada) in 1942, where Joseph-Armand Bombardier built a better means of transportation for snow-covered terrain.
