BMW: illuminated kidneys / four tailpipes on M Performance vehicles!

According to BMW, in the future almost all M Performance models will be equipped with the Z3 M Roadster (1997). 4-tube optics be equipped. Since 1997, the four tailpipes have become the distinguishing feature of all "real" M models. But now the exclusivity is significantly reduced, because in the near future the look will also become the new standard on many other M Performance vehicles. At least that's what the design manager says Domagoj Dukec in conversation with BMWblog.com. Shortly after the M exterior mirrors, there is another design element on M Performance vehicles that was previously reserved for the high-performance M models in the form of the M2, M3 or M4. However, it will not flat rate give the round tubes on all M Performance vehicles. In particular, the electric cars i4 M50, iX M60 and the upcoming BMW i7 M70 will probably not bring the feature with them. And in general, with increasing electrification, visible tailpipes will tend to become the exception.

illuminated cardioid contour becomes the standard

And also in conversation with BMWblog.com it was confirmed that the illuminated kidney contour of the new BMW 7er (G70) and the i7 should also find its way into other models. The LED contour is supposed to become the new identifying mark of "all" future BMW models. This is a departure from the previously known design of the light elements in the main headlights (Parking light rings, angel eyes, corona rings), which were first seen in the E39 and have since given every BMW an unmistakable look in various modified forms. But the extremely narrow headlight elements from the Facelift X7 and the new 7 series no longer allow this in a sensible way. The illuminated kidney contour is likely to remain unique in the future due to its unmistakable design and, in our opinion, is significantly more brand-specific than the continuous light strips from Mercedes or VW.

Of course, that wasn't the end of it!
