Indonesia, the most populous country in Southeast Asia, has a relatively undiscovered and unexplored area Tuning scenewhich, however, generates projects that do not have to hide behind vehicles from Japan, China or South Korea. Often endowed with passion and creativity, the Indonesian tuners conjure up real gems out of classic automobiles. It is clear that there are still a lot of older automobiles on the road in Indonesian, but that doesn't deter tuning fans. On the contrary, because old technology, which is much easier to lend a hand than modern automobiles, makes people tweak their treasures and then modify them according to their wishes.
Black, deep, wide!
Today we're introducing you to one black BMW 5 Series (E12) before that of its owner Hakim Putratama has been skillfully refined, and thus not only attracts everyone's attention in Southeast Asia. The five-piece BMW is a prime example of how classic models from Dingolfing can be professionally refined and spruced up without looking like a handicraft shop.
Front and rear spoiler from BBS give the classic a sporty note, which is, however, extremely discreet, as the attachments fit seamlessly into the timeless look. All chrome elements that were installed as standard on the car have been removed so that the black exterior paint not with that Chrome trim bites. From our point of view that was the right decision, because in our opinion chrome and black do not go well together. A Airlift Performance Airride chassis also ensures that the cleaved 5 series is close to the asphalt.
Tuner Hakim also decided that he would replace the classic BBS rims that he had mounted on the Bavarian oldie over the years with new ones OZ Racing Breyton rims exchanges. The OZ rims have a drop-base look, which gives the E12 a certain racing look and ensures that a little DTM feeling moves in.

The entire Cockpit inklusive Center console and Instrument panel comes from a three-series BMW of the E36 generation, and was transplanted into the five. Electrically adjustable and heatable Sports Seats from BBS, which are covered with red leather, can also be found in the individual item.
Door panels and floor mats also come from the range of the German tuning cult brand, and harmonize perfectly with the extraordinary seating. A Momo sports steering wheel with a wooden wreath in a three-spoke design also found its way into the cockpit of the E12. Furthermore, a modern one is of course also allowed Sound system not missing, so tuner Hakim decided on one Bose stereo.

The M54B30 called naturally aspirated, which runs on petrol, was not built into the BMW as standard, but was made by the tuning company RDM Motorsport Jakarta subsequently installed. The modern unit that is round 230 PS performs, has a Petrol injection and a regulated one Catalyst. The power is transmitted via a Five-speed manual, which comes from a BMW E36, onto the rear wheels. So the proverbial driving pleasure should definitely not be neglected in this classic either!
