Still in the official delivery of the brand new BMW 8er convertible (G14) has the rim label Forgiato Wheels received a first copy. A snow-white M850i convertible already equipped with a new wheelset. But this one is, in our opinionfar from fitting. It is the so-called Orologio-M Monoleggera rim which is estimated to be 21 inches (exact specifications are missing) was installed on the Munich convertible. Visually, the wheel set with a particularly striking rim edge in gold and 12 double spokes and a closed hub cover. The design should be reminiscent of a watch bezel. But it reminds us more of a roulette in which only the colors black and red are missing. Either way in our eyes absolutely inappropriate.
with lowering & monochrome it could work
Especially with regard to the lack of lowering the convertible. If the 8er were much deeper and the rim in one color could possibly still live with it. But even then the result would probably remain a matter of taste. As we praise the RM12 forged wheels from the shelf of Race forged wheels we at our virtual Widebody M8 😉 If we receive timely information on further changes there is of course an update for this report.
