Everybody's high-tech darling in the field of used sporty vehicles is definitely the BMW E92 M3. The only M3 that was ever sold with a V8 engine is still a vehicle that can keep up with the current generations almost 10 years after its introduction. This is of course due to the S65B40 V8 of the M3 with a displacement of 3999 cm³. As far as the base is concerned, this engine largely corresponds to the 5l V10 of the E60 M5 / M6 (Cylinder angle also 90 ° and the basic dimensions also fit) and thus the V8 was a perfect successor to the S54 in-line six-cylinder engine of the BMW E46 M3. A major difference to the V10 was the fact that the new engine works with a low-pressure double VANOS. The result is 309 kW (420 hp) at an extreme 8300 rpm and a torque of 400 Nm at 3900 rpm. The M8.400 only runs into the rev limiter at a high 3 rpm, making it the highest-revving production engine that has ever been in a BMW. So much for the story 😀
But now to the white M3 from EAS. The tuner only modified the coupe discreetly and gave it the biggest change an Akrapovic Evolution Slip-On titanium sports exhaust system with carbon tailpipes and a set of coil springs. Other changes are an iND rear spoiler + side markings in body color and an M3 type plate in matt black which also comes from iND. The front of the M3 now looks through LUX H8 160 Angel Eyes headlights which, in conjunction with the black kidneys of the front, give a modern style. There were also a few changes inside and so a BMW M Performance Alcantara steering wheel, a pair of Pedal Haus DCT "Short-Throw" paddle shifters and BMW M Performance pedals were installed. All in all great changes that don't rob the M3 of its character. If we get even more information about further modifications made to the M3, there is of course, as always, an update for this post.
