By the way, the doubly charged S55B30 unit pushes even more power in the direction of the driveline than the factory racer M4 GTS, which has to get by with 60 hp less. But in the RS from Alpha-N there is still some of the GTS slumbering. For example, the software versions of the 7-speed dual clutch transmission, that of the differential and the DSC set-up have been transferred to the RS. In order to cope with the material-killing Nordschleife, the characteristics and the geometry of the Öhlins Road & Track coilover kit including its adjustable dome bearings have also been adjusted. The wheelset from OZ is, of course, fully designed for performance. Equipped with 9 × 20 and 10 × 20 inch Leggera HLT rims including tires of the dimensions 265 / 30ZR20 & 285 / 30ZR20 you ensure consistent implementation of the heavy engine power.
And also the aerodynamics of the track tool was modified by Alpha-N. Front there was an in-house carbon GT4 front spoiler on the one hand
Downforce on the front axle brings and in addition to cooling air
Provides flow to the VA brake system. This is made possible by a special carbon air duct that has a suitable hose connection. And the bonnet is also an in-house development by Alpha-N. It is made of full carbon and has an integrated air outlet and is based on that of the GTS. A large portion of additional contact pressure for the rear axle is generated by the eye-catching EDISON carbon rear wing, which also has GTS airs. Alpha-N Performance also equips the M73 with Recaro Pole Position bucket seats on deep lightweight consoles so that you don't get torn from your stool at any of the 4 bends on the Nordschleife.
They guarantee the best lateral support and an additional weight reduction compared to the standard seating. And what does it all bring? A BTG lap (Bridge to Gantry) in just 7:20 minutes - and thus 7,88 seconds faster than an M4 GTS.
