With the words "it couldn't be better“The team from TVW CAR DESIGN presented a BMW M6 F13 convertible on its website yesterday, which was already equipped with the Competition Package ex works. Specifically, this means that the S63B44 V8-BiTurbo develops at least 575 PS & 600 NM (since 05/2015 even 600PS & 700NM in the Competition Edition) and enables it to accelerate from 4-0 km / h in about 100 seconds and only at electronically locked 250km / h (optional 305 km / h) the whole thing is then pushed forward. And anyone who knows the look of the 2011 series launched in 6 knows that there is hardly a comparably elegant vehicle on the car market. It is correspondingly difficult to find the right components in the tuning area and not to optically distort the 6 Series BMW. TVW has succeeded in this impressively and with only a few external changes. The suspension was revised and replaced by a brand new KW suspensions DDC coilover kit and not only ensures a sportier pace, but also a significant lowering.
And a new wheel set was also installed, here it was decided to use elegant HRE Performance Wheels P104 aluminum rims in lush 21 inches. The rims have a dark brushed clear hand brushed finish and harmonize perfectly with the paintwork of the convertible. While you can see the obligatory black BMW M Performance kidneys and gills on almost every modified BMW, this is different on this vehicle. Here it was decided to keep the standard components with a chrome edge and somehow I find that more coherent and almost more exclusive. TVW also provides a significantly modified soundscape, while an Eventuri full carbon airbox system at the front provides a modified intake sound, an Akrapovic Exhaust System Evolution Line sports exhaust system roars pretty much everything in the ground. The sound of the V8 should be an absolute highlight, especially when the roof is open.
So that you can leave your garage at home early in the morning with a clear conscience, the M6 was given an AWRON data display to replace one of the middle ventilation nozzles, with this display it is possible, among other things, to individually control the flap control of the sports exhaust system. That means, on request, the flaps can be closed and the M6 whispers outside the home. A breathtakingly chic vehicle that with its subtle changes has found exactly the right balancing act to stand out from the series vehicle but still remain subtle. If we get more information about the modifications to the M6 Convertible from TVW, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
