MANHART Performance has just released a video of a BMW X5 xDrive40e which is meant to show that they are now ready to revise the big plug-in hybrids. Of course, the main focus here is on the plug-in hybrid drive. The hybrid system consists of a four-cylinder petrol engine with 245 PS and a 113 PS electric motor in combination 313 PS deliver to all four wheels while only 3,3 liters per 100 km, with full battery, consume. But the plus in e-technology is not really cheap with at least 68.400 Euro and if you look at the first real tests is the X5 in real driving conditions hardly under 10l to move.
Nevertheless, Manhart Performance is interested in the xDrive40e. The vehicle from the video got an in-house 21 inch wheelset, but the focus should be under the hood. We assume that you will lend a hand here to the four-cylinder gasoline engine and have the standard 245 PS & 420 NM torque in your sights. A careful forecast on our part is an increase in performance to a total of 390-400 PS & 500 NM torque. Of course, this is only a guess and we have no choice but to wait and see what is to come.
What else is left of Manhart?
