Crazy: the Brabus 930 based on Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance!

BRABUS has dominated the world of high-performance engines for Mercedes-Benz vehicles for over four decades. A fresh challenge was the potential to further improve the hybrid drive of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE PERFORMANCE and thus to realize the most powerful BRABUS supercar in the history of the company - a task that the BRABUS engine development team has successfully mastered. As a first measure, they focused on the BRABUS performance upgrade on the four-liter V8 biturbo engine of the four-door coupe. The BRABUS PowerXtra B40S-930 performance upgrade included a comprehensive revision of the turbo system hardware: Two newly designed BRABUS high-performance turbochargers, which have both an enlarged compressor unit and a modified turbo unit with reinforced axial bearings, generate a maximum boost pressure of 1,8 bar.

The technical specialists from BRABUS devoted just as much effort to the electronic engine management system. A special BRABUS PowerXtra control module is used for each cylinder bank. These modules not only re-regulate the electronic boost pressure control to achieve higher performance without compromising durability. They also adapt the injection and ignition parameters to the revised charging system.

In order to ensure optimal tuning, not only extensive tests were carried out on stationary engine test benches and all-wheel drive test benches of the latest generation, but also detailed driving tests on the race track and on public roads. These efforts not only resulted in an additional peak output of 64 kW / 87 hp and 100 Nm more torque for the V8 engine: the precise fine-tuning also ensured perfect harmony with the 150 kW / 204 hp electric motor of the hybrid system, which in its original configuration was retained.

System output of 684 kW / 930 hp

The connection of the eight-cylinder, four-valve biturbo trimmed to 534 kW / 726 hp peak output and 900 Nm torque results in the most powerful supercar from BRABUS to date: the BRABUS 930, which, as the name suggests, offers an impressive system output of 684 kW / 930 hp. With a unique maximum torque of 1.550 Nm, it also sets itself apart. The performance leaves nothing to be desired: the BRABUS 930 with all-wheel drive manages to accelerate from 2,4 to 2,8 km/h in just 0 seconds, despite an unladen weight of around 100 tons. The top speed is electronically limited to 316 km/h.

The BRABUS sports exhaust system made of stainless steel, equipped with integrated exhaust flaps, creates a breathtaking soundscape at the push of a button. Depending on your preference, the V8 can be operated either in the quiet "Coming Home" mode or in the "Sport" position, which produces a particularly powerful V8 sound. With its four titanium/carbon tailpipes with a diameter of 90 millimeters, the BRABUS exhaust system is also a real eye-catcher.

BRABUS also guarantees outstanding durability with this high-performance hybrid drive. The world's leading independent vehicle tuner underlines this with a three-year BRABUS tuning guarantee for up to 100.000 kilometers (according to the BRABUS guarantee conditions, as of July 2013). BRABUS relies exclusively on MOTUL lubricants.

The impressive performance of the BRABUS 930 requires special attention to aerodynamics. For this purpose, the BRABUS designers created optically appealing and aerodynamically efficient visible carbon components, which are available with either a glossy or matt finish. They received their final optimization in the wind tunnel, which improves driving stability at high speeds.

Carbon aerodynamic parts wherever you look

The BRABUS front spoiler combination, attachments for the extended air intakes in the bumper and the specific radiator grille, which ensures increased air supply to the engine, give the supercar an unmistakable face. The well thought-out spoiler reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds. The rear of the four-door vehicle also has a sportier touch: the carbon diffuser insert in the rear apron optimally frames the four tailpipes of the BRABUS sports exhaust.

Visible carbon veneers on the sides of the rear bumper emphasize the car's impressive contours. The BRABUS carbon covers for the exterior mirrors give the dynamic body look the finishing touch. Another key factor for the exclusive BRABUS design is the combination of large-format wheels and tires: To emphasize the wedge shape of the four-door coupé, 21-inch wheels were specially designed for the front axle, while 22-inch wheels were even used on the rear axle come into action.

The filigree ten-spoke design of the Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" wheels was chosen for the BRABUS 930 presented here. These rims, manufactured using the latest forging and CNC technology, offer an excellent combination of lightness and maximum strength. The dimensions of the wheels and tires are just as remarkable: 10.5Jx21 wheels with 275/35 ZR 21 tires are used at the front, while 12Jx22 rims with Continental SportContact 6 high-performance tires in 335/25 ZR 22 format are fitted to the rear axle.

These wheels, which are even larger than the basic model, not only improve the look of the BRABUS 930, they also contribute to even more agile handling. This effect can be further enhanced by the BRABUS AIRMATIC SPORT unit. This plug-and-play module can lower the four-door coupé by up to 20 millimeters, depending on the driving mode.

of course with exclusive interior refinement

BRABUS is also known for its exceptional interior designs, as showcased in the BRABUS 930. In the company's own upholstery shop, the finest leather and Dinamica microfiber materials are processed into tailor-made interiors under the name "BRABUS MASTERPIECE", which meet even the most demanding customer requirements. When it comes to color selection and upholstery designs, the possibilities are almost endless.

The interior of the BRABUS 930 supercar shown here is made of the finest black leather, which is contrasted with light, red decorative stitching and piping. Both the seating areas and the entire cabin floor and trunk are quilted with the utmost precision in a triangle design. The center panels are perforated with millimeter precision to ensure that the seat climate control works optimally.

The BRABUS carbon details in the interior, together with the BRABUS door pins and matt, anodized aluminum pedals, give the vehicle a sporty touch. Carbon door sills with an illuminated BRABUS logo that changes color according to the interior lighting complete the innovative interior design. In addition, numerous elements of the cockpit, from switches and speaker covers to air vents and panels, were painted in "ROCKET RED".
