BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift at the Geneva Motor Show!

The new exclusive electric city sports car with a wide version, 18 inch Monoblock Y forged wheels and exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior. BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift: Under this label, BRABUS is presenting the latest evolutionary stage of its exclusive and agile city sports car at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. The starting point for this electrically powered city supercar is the revised smart EQ fortwo cabrio from the 2020 model year. The BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift thus continues the successful tradition of several generations of exclusive BRABUS supercars based on the smart fortwo models. For this purpose, the electric motor has been increased to 68 kW / 92 PS. In the sportiest of the four different driving modes, the exclusive two-seater accelerates from 10,9 - 0 km / h in just 100 seconds. The top speed is limited to 130 km / h.

The "Pocket Rocket" from BRABUS not only impresses with its dynamic alternative drive: the excitingly styled wide version with the BRABUS front apron specially redesigned for the facelift model gives the two-seater, together with the 18-inch forged wheels, a particularly exciting design. The cockpit with the luxurious BRABUS fine leather interior is just as extravagant. The BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift is offered at a recommended retail price of 58.845 euros (including 19 percent VAT in Germany). Every BRABUS supercar stands for special driving fun through superior performance. The BRABUS Ultimate E facelift city sports car is no exception. In order to achieve a significant increase in dynamics, the BRABUS engineers, technicians and programmers developed a performance upgrade for the three-phase synchronous motor of the smart fortwo EQ cabrio from model year 2020. To do this, they used the know-how of BRABUS ZERO EMISSION, the corporate division that who has been working on the development of alternative drive concepts ever since.

 BRABUS PowerXtra Performance Upgrade

The BRABUS PowerXtra performance upgrade for the electric drive of the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift includes a newly calibrated torque control, special modules for the driving dynamics switch and accelerator pedal as well as a special gateway. Thanks to the perfect synchronization of all these modifications, the reserves that are built into this electric drive ex works are released. The "driving fun switch" in the cockpit enables the driver to choose between four different driving modes. Level 1 corresponds to the standard electric motor of the current smart EQ fortwo. The “Eco” level increases recuperation, which means that when you take your foot off the gas, the two-seater brakes significantly more than in series production. Level 3 stands for "Sport". This means that the accelerator pedal reacts more spontaneously and recuperation is reduced to the standard level.

The BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift in the “Sport +” program unleashes maximum dynamism: Here, the peak output has been increased to 68 kW / 92 PS, the maximum torque increases to 180 Nm, an impressive 20 Nm more than in the series. In this mode, the driver not only enjoys the even livelier electric drive, but also the even more direct response to the accelerator pedal. The driving performance effortlessly lives up to its definition as an exclusive city sports car: the BRABUS two-seater sprints from 10,9 - 0 km / h almost silently in "Sport +" mode in just 100 seconds. The top speed remains limited to 130 km / h. In addition to the impressive performance on the road, the exclusive city sports car also offers the highest level of environmental compatibility because it is CO2-neutral. Following its designation as an agile city runabout, the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift achieves a range of up to 125 kilometers on one battery charge, depending on the driving style.

But the agile two-door not only convinces with its ecological and agile drive: it is also an eye-catcher par excellence! The smallest BRABUS supercar owes this to its WIDESTAR body, which is reserved exclusively for vehicles in the limited BRABUS Ultimate special series. On request, there are also individual special paints according to the wishes of the respective buyer. The face of the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift is shaped by the BRABUS WIDESTAR front apron, newly modeled for the smart fortwo of the 2020 model year. The two-seater looks particularly sporty thanks to its look with large air inlets on the left and right.

The WIDESTAR body also includes flared fenders on the front and rear axles. They create space for 18 inch wheels that are tailor-made for this vehicle. Their format is extremely unusual for an electric car of this size. Thanks to their elaborate production with the help of high-tech forging technology, the BRABUS Monoblock Y rims with nine filigree spokes that taper towards the outer edge of the wheel in the shape of a “Y” are particularly light. Weighing just 6,7 kilograms at the front and 7,1 kilograms for a rear wheel, they are among the world's lightest 18-inch wheels on the market.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR body enables 7Jx18 wheels with 205/35 R 18 high-performance tires to be mounted on the front axle. Under the extensions on the rear axle, there is even space for eight-inch wide rims with 235/30 R 18 tires. With this combination, particularly agile and safe handling is achieved. The sporty, comfortable BRABUS suspension, which has been precisely tailored to the important parameters of weight of the electric car, ultra-flat tires and the wider track, also plays a major role in this.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR creates an optimal transition between the wider fenders on the front and rear axles with precisely matching side skirts. The rear of the wide version is designed to be sporty thanks to a diffuser specially developed for the electric car. In line with the dynamic principle of this supercar, the black show car for Geneva has red accents on the central spoiler, the side skirts and the rear diffuser.

The BRABUS Ultimate E facelift city sports car naturally also includes an exclusively designed cockpit, which is tailored to the wishes of the future vehicle owner down to the last detail in the in-house saddlery. Like every BRABUS fine leather interior, the cockpit of the two-seater is a perfect example of an ideal combination of fascinating design, masterful workmanship and high-quality choice of materials.

The interior of the show car at the Geneva Motor Show 2020 is upholstered with black, particularly soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather. There are precise decorative seams in bright red to match the accents on the body. The seat surfaces and inner parts of the two door panels are also stitched in a honeycomb pattern with millimeter precision.

BRABUS pedals as well as gear knob and handbrake lever made of aluminum give the cockpit a touch of racing look. The door sill trims have an illuminated BRABUS logo, which changes from white to red, as does the emblem in the stainless steel footrest in the driver's footwell. High-quality leather floor protectors with the BRABUS ULTIMATE E logo complete the elegant ambience.

The extensive equipment of every BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift also includes natural comfort features such as air conditioning, sound and navigation system.
