Corvette C8 with four-pipe exhaust system from NAP!

It has been more than two years since the Corvette C8 was introduced to the US market. When it was presented in 2020, there was a great outcry, since the well-known concept was deviated from and the US sports car icon was given a mid-engine layout. According to General Motors, the plan was to reach a younger clientele with the concept. Also no longer on board is the characteristic four-pipe exhaust system with four tailpipes placed in the middle, which is now only available for the Z06 and only in the USA. But there are Remedy from NAP sports exhaust.

The specialists from NAP from Nordhorn were also negatively surprised when they saw that the "normal" Stingray Vette had to do without a four-pipe system in the middle. But you have developed a solution and are now presenting a quad-valve exhaust system that is equally suitable for the EU and US versions. The system has several flap modes that can be controlled via a NAP button or, if available, the Z-Mode button.

The sound varies from sonorous grumbling to pithy, hot trumpets. The customer can choose the finish himself. There is a choice of highly polished or matt black ceramic-coated tailpipes. If required, the NAP exhaust system can be installed at the company headquarters in Nordhorn and thanks ABE for Germany and EC type-approval the new system is even free of registration. The factory warranty is also not affected by the installation.

System not compatible with factory rear apron!

However, the factory-fitted rear apron does not fit with the NAP quad exhaust system, which is why the scope of delivery includes a diffuser insert includes, which is available in two different versions. There is a choice of carbon look or glossy black. The carbon variant harmonises perfectly with the other carbon fiber aerodynamic components from NAP exclusive such as the front spoiler lip, the side skirts with fins, the air inlet panels for the front and side, the rear wing and, especially for the convertible version, the insert for the bonnet. Ps: NAP quad sports exhaust system also for the C8 Z06.

Our conclusion: A brilliant idea. This brings back a bit of the old Corvette flair. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
