The boys of Pro tuning freaks have made their first attempts on the brand new BMW X3 M (F97). The compact SUV received the bootmod3 (OTS Stage 1 beta) software and it seems to do the S58 in-line six-cylinder really well. While this X3 M mobilized 459 PS & 581 NM torque on the wheel measured in series condition, it was already 551 HP (559 PS) and 722 NM with the chip tuning. If you calculate with a power loss of approx. 12%, this results in an engine output of approx. 626 PS & 808 NM torque. And there was another shovel on top with 30% ethanol (E30 petrol). Here there was 579 PS and 775 Nm torque on the wheel. Regarding the engine power, this corresponds to approx. 12 PS & 648 NM torque with 868% power loss. On the road, the extra power was measured with a Dragy GPS Performance Box and with it the X3 M managed the sprint to 96 km / h in just 2,96 seconds. Since the X3 M is technically identical to the X4 M (F98), the upgrade can of course be reproduced on this. If we receive timely information on further performance increases on the Pro Tuning Freaks X3 M, there is of course an update for this report.
