Can you still present yourself at the 2015 Dodge Power Wagon with 585PS Chevy V8 as a restomod project recall? With a few pictures and a short story, we had introduced the restored classic and now we have found another copy that looks confusingly similar to the elaborately styled off-roader from the 40s. But it is definitely a different vehicle, which becomes clear when you look into the cabin at the latest. But there are also some significant differences on the outside and under the bonnet. But the principle is the same! Both vehicles have been restored from the ground up and then rebuilt using modern technology to become the everyday restomod classic. The current vehicle is a Power Wagon from 1949 from Legacy classic trucks was built up. And these are the guys who also got the Power Wagon with V8 engine linked.

with Cummins 4BT diesel engine

But for the current vehicle, a Cummins 4BT diesel engine with two turbochargers was chosen and not the large gasoline engine. Although this engine only has half the cylinders, it can easily keep up with the large V813 with a huge 350 Newton meters of torque and 8 hp. The four-cylinder has been linked to a 5-speed manual transmission, which compared to the 4-speed automatic of the V8 - our opinion - the better decision is. That just fits better with the vehicle as we think. The rest of the modifications, however, are familiar. Again, the body has been painted a dark red and set off with accents in black. And when it comes to technology, they rely on state-of-the-art components such as limited-slip differentials from ARB, robust Dana 60 axles or mechanical wheel hubs from WARN Industries. The front apron is equipped with a WARN winch and made of sturdy steel and carries small LED auxiliary headlights on both sides with a cube look. And a metal apron is also located at the rear and modern LED lights are also installed here.

40 inch Toyo M / T Open Country off-road tires

There was also a set of 40-inch Toyo M / T Open Country off-road tires, which of course are drawn on powerful 17-inch beadlock alloy wheels. And the cabin has also been extensively buttoned up again. Although this is essentially the style of the 40s, modern components such as the car radio with Bluetooth connection and USB charging connection, the new displays for displaying speed, speed or temperature up to the noble 3-spoke wooden steering wheel are unmistakably from the Presence. And of course the same also applies to the light leather interior, which is also found on the doors and even the shift bag, in addition to the seats. Legacy Classic Trucks said it took over 2000 hours of work for this vehicle, which justifies the price of around $ 350.000. If we receive timely information about further changes to the Power Wagon, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
