Electrogenic electric drive with 160 hp in the Jaguar E-Type!

In the context of the growing popularity of electric vehicles, Electrogenic is making a remarkable statement by transforming the classic Jaguar E-Type into a zero-emission jewel. The British engineers managed to electrify the classic car without changing its distinctive appearance. Completely different under the sheet metal! A lot has happened there. Under the hood of the iconic classic is a fully electric powertrain developed by Electrogenic. Interestingly, if required, the full conversion kit can be completely removed again and the car retrofitted, ensuring flexibility and the option of 100% fidelity.

Electrogenic Jaguar E Type

The electric mod based on the E-Type has a 43 kWh battery pack that enables a reasonable range of more than 150 miles (about 241 kilometers). The power of this electric motor reaches 160 hp (120 kW) and it delivers a torque of 620 Newton meters. Although the maximum power is slightly lower than the original combustion engine, the torque definitely exceeds it, enabling acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in less than six seconds.

Electrogenic has demonstrated engineering skill during development by fitting almost all of the e-drive components into the existing engine bay and transmission tunnel. In addition, the weight ratio of the E-Type has been carefully optimized. And even with the addition of the optional largest battery option, a 64kWh pack housed in the area behind the rear seat, the Brit's weight remains the same as the original combustion engine version.

original Smith instruments are modified

And inside, the original Smith gauges have been cleverly repurposed to show charge status, electric motor temperature and charge temperature. This keeps the flair of the vintage car while meeting modern needs. In addition to the complete conversion of the Jaguar E-Type, Electrogenic also offers a so-called "drop-in kit" for sale, which can be installed by any certified professional. The kit fits directly into the existing vehicle architecture and can be removed again if necessary, increasing its appeal to classic car enthusiasts.

The high international demand for the conversion kits shows that Electrogenic has struck a chord. Classic cars, now more environmentally friendly and adapted to the 21st century, are now being delivered worldwide by the tuner. The conversion kits mark a new chapter for Electrogenic, enabling clean, reliable mobility for classic car enthusiasts around the world.
