Secretly, this is what every (almost every) Amarok driver wants. To replace his 140PS or 180PS TDI with a tight V8. MTM is now making exactly that a reality and presented an Amarok with a 4,2-liter TDI engine at the Geneva Motor Show. But that's not all, a tuner also has to "tune" and give the V8 410PS / 930Nm torque.

The sprint of 0-100km / h should now be possible in just 6 seconds and a V-Max of 222km / h impressed as well. Fully loaded and with a trailer, the Amarok is still likely to scramble up a mountain with neat boobs. However, the conversion is not without and price should probably be cheap.
So that the power can be implemented, the flat springs of the Amarok have been replaced and built in with air springs in combination with a Panhard rod for the immovable axle guide. So that the extra power comes to a standstill, MTM has now installed disc brakes on the rear axle and removed the standard drum brakes.
The original brake was also replaced by an MTM brake (405 x 36 mm) at the front. The built-in rims are BBS SV aluminum rims which, in conjunction with the Michelin Latitude 295/40 22 tires, ensure contact between the Amarok and the road. Unfortunately, MTM has not yet given prices for the whole or for individual components.
