Today, a tuner must be versatile in order to succeed in the market. There's no point in limiting yourself to one brand or even one model, whoever does that will not last long. And so it is not surprising that we from the tuner HS Motorsport, from Eching in Bavaria, have already seen from almost every category a modified vehicle. Recently there was a send VW T6 Multivan and also the VW Golf GTD in cooperation with JMS wasn't that long ago. And right now it has caught an American. HS grabbed the current Ford Mustang as a convertible and with 421PS V8 and gave the Mustang a set of Vorsteiner V-FF 101 rims in 20 inches and a KW coilover kit of variant 3 for a significant lowering. In addition, HS Motorsport installed a strut brace above and below and, very importantly, a CTM engine software optimization that ensures that the 421PS & 530NM ex works become a whopping 462PS & 543NM. Of course, the owner of the Mustang would also like to hear the extra power and so the tuner installed a flap sports exhaust system made of stainless steel that enables just that. The HS Motorsport team released the black convertible the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the pictures. After the discreet but nevertheless comprehensive tuning cure that the Ford Mustang was allowed to endure, it is now visually more individual and dynamic than the production version without being over the top or even looking bulky / noticeable.
Chiptuning & KW chassis
So if you have been secretly thinking of treating yourself to a current Mustang convertible for a long time or perhaps already a happy owner, HS Motorsport is certainly an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model. And for all those who are not necessarily located near the tuner, the vehicle may serve as a tuning template for the tuning partner on site.
As far as the further changes to optics or technology are concerned, we have tried to find out the most important details. These are the changes to the Ford Mustang GT Convertible:
- Standard output of 421 PS and 530 Nm increased to 462 PS & 543 Nm by means of CTM engine software optimization
- Set of Vorsteiner V-FF 101 alloy wheels (Carbon Graphite, front 10,0 × 20 inch with 255 / 35ZR20 tires and rear 11,0 × 20 inch with 295 / 30ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires)
- KW coilover suspension variant 3
- Dom struts above and below
- Flap sports exhaust system made of stainless steel (optional tailpipes in carbon, seamed stainless steel, series look)
