Genesis, Hyundai's premium brand, has the performance brand Magma brought to life. And as part of the launch event, various concept vehicles were shown, giving a first look at what we can expect from Magma. Among the concepts, this is what stands out GV60 Magma Concept comes out, a Magma offshoot of the already well-known, purely electric Genesis GV60. The GV60 Magma Concept is unique in that it is on the new E-GMP platform from Hyundai, which is equipped with an 800-volt system. It enables a charging capacity of up to 240 kW, so that the 77,4 kWh battery in just 18 minutes from ten to 80 percent can be loaded. The performance range of the current Genesis GV60 ranges from 168 kW in the basic model with rear-wheel drive up to 360 kW in Top model GV60 Performance AWD.
GV60 Magma Concept
It remains exciting to see which technical data will be the final one GV60 Magma Concept will bring with you. According to speculation, Genesis could be used for the drive Hyundai Ioniq 5N with its 478 kW and an optimized 84 kWh battery or on Kia EV6GT with 430 kW, the latter being the 77,4-kWh battery uses. And next to that GV60 Magma Concept there were more too Magma vehicles presented, including this Gv80 Coupe Concept, the limousine G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. All indicate that Genesis is planning to make the full range stronger in the future Magma versions to offer, although no specific technical data or sales information is currently known. And another highlight of the event was the presentation of Neolun Concept, a study of a large, all-electric SUV whose name symbolizes Genesis' technological innovation and future vision.

The design of the Neolun is, among other things, inspired by Korea's moon-shaped Porcelain vessels inspired and characterized by a flat Cabin floor which enables a variable spatial concept. This is worth highlighting Door construction, which makes it possible to do without B-pillars and the rear doors like one sliding door to open. Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer at Genesis, emphasizes that Genesis magma allows us to redefine the boundaries of performance and luxury. With the aim of building exclusive vehicles specifically for Genesis, the brand wants to continue to introduce cool concepts that set standards both technically and visually. Genesis magma promises a great future in which performance, luxury and electric mobility merge.
