Evil - 21 inch HRE RS101 rims on the 612PS Mercedes AMG GTs

Reading time 4 Min.

The tuner's favorite is no longer just the current BMW M4 F82. Also on sporty Mercedes AMG GT and GTs, the tuning community finds more than just a favor and almost every day there are new vehicles. And what thought comes to your mind when you dive into the subject of tuning? For the masses, including myself, are the sporty sound-strong exhaust, lowered chassis and of course a significantly increased performance (Chiptuning etc.) high on the priority list. Tuning also means that the vehicle should be given a highly personal touch. The viewing angle is just as individual for each individual vehicle owner. Statistics are mostly secondary, but not to be underestimated. After all, we are talking about 60% of all tuning enthusiasts who treat their car to a new wheel set first and only later dealt with further measures such as chip tuning etc.

In comparison, the dimensions of the replaced rims are at least 1 inch above the sizes of the original factory rims and they are almost always wider. The often extremely price-intensive investment hardly leaves any deterrent marks because it actually pays off in retrospect and the design of the car is then presented in a remarkably new shine. Decisive for the highly frequented exchange of the wheelsets is, among other things, the mass suitability of the serial rims, which are often presentable. However, the manufacturer orients itself more towards the large target groups and less towards the individualists. On top of that, the rim selection is made using the manufacturer's configurator, which of course was also the case with this black Mercedes AMG GT. If you put your vehicle together using a configurator, there is ultimately hardly any space for an unmistakable uniqueness. Even a factory-made individual program changes little. However, there is still a possibility to swim against the current and to be able to detach yourself from the general public. The plan B of the owner of the Stuttgart Coupe includes a look at the range of HRE Performance Wheels. Thanks to the perfect combination, the piece of jewelery is now presented even better with an HRE Performance Wheels RS101 wheel set.

The black aluminum rims were installed in different dimensions, in the front in lush 10 × 20 inches and in the rear in even more extreme 12 × 21 inches with 305 Michelin Pilot Supersport tires. The additional modifications that can be seen in the pictures, such as the significant lowering, make the production model an impressive eye-catcher. Of course, the GTs also owe the newly gained dynamics and the even sportier driving feel to the RS101 wheelset. No wonder, because the rims from HRE are not only known in tuner circles for their first-class quality and, above all, for an exquisite range of products. With these respectable alternatives, the standard wheelsets are quickly overshadowed by the new rims. In addition, a performance kit with 612PS and 760NM torque, including DTC, was also included in the GTs and thus the AMG tuned by cartech.ch should clearly outrun the 510PS strong production model and even the brand new 585PS strong AMG GTr is still 27PS & 60NM weaker . Further information on tuning measures carried out on the AMG GTs can only be found in the photos and what the tuner has published.
