Italdesign Giugiaro

In the year 1968 was founded by the families Giugiaro and Mantovani Studi Italiani Realizzazione Prototipi SpA and is located in Moncalieri in Italy. Today, the company is a household name under Italdesign and belongs to the Audi AG. The design studio Giugiaro SpA (Italdesign) is active worldwide for development services of various well-known automobile brands. Among other things, the following vehicles were designed: Maserati "Bora," Merak "and" Quattroporte III ", BMW M1, Audi 80/400, DeLorean DMC-12 and others. Design and auto tuning go hand in hand here. The company covers many areas: from styling, engineering, tuning to prototype production. Testing and validation then take place on site. The company designs and develops car bodies and interior vehicle architectures and is responsible for planning production. Volkswagen took over Lamborghini (Audi subsidiary) in the year 2010 90,1 percent of Italdesign shares. The family owned Giugiaro remained 9,9 percent. 2015 came to the remaining takeover of the shares. In the same year, the design studio GFG Progetti was founded.
