Lamborghini Invencible & Auténtica: definitive and unique farewell!

Just a few weeks before the debut of Lamborghini's first hybrid supercar, the Italian company celebrates its famous naturally aspirated V12 with the Invencible Coupé and the Auténtica Roadster: two unique cars that underline the brand's DNA. They represent the pinnacle of Lamborghini's emphasis on exclusive personalization. In this way, customers were involved in the design process from the very beginning in order to create truly tailor-made models. "The V12 engine is one of the pillars of our history and the success of our brand", explains Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “We are on the way to a new era of hybridization, which is at the heart of our 'Cor Tauri' strategy. This is Lamborghini's way of paying tribute to the naturally aspirated V12: with two unique vehicles that perfectly represent our concept of high-end personalization.”

Invencible & Authentica

The two distinctive one-offs were designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile based on the V12 platform as the quintessence of supreme creativity. They reflect the design cues that have contributed to the company's iconic status and boast a track-inspired sporty character.

Invencible and Auténtica pay tribute to the masterpieces of Lamborghini design: the Sesto Elemento, a tribute to lightweight construction and motorsport, characterized by its large rear wing; the Reventón, with its unique aeronautical design; and the Veneno, which took the pursuit of aerodynamic perfection to the extreme. “We have created two one-off pieces with a unique character, inspired by motorsport and the high-energy atmosphere of a track day”, says Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Automobili Lamborghini. “The design was penned by the Lamborghini Centro Stile and is an expression of the highest level of creativity, based on the V12 platform. On the one hand, these individual pieces are characterized by our unique design DNA and, on the other hand, they make completely new design statements.”

Both new vehicles are based on the Aventador's carbon fiber monocoque, which is produced in Sant'Agata Bolognese. In addition, they have full carbon bodies that draw on design and technologies that have been successfully tested in motorsport. The impressive bonnet is reminiscent of that of the Essenza SCV12, along with the distinctive front splitter with vertical struts that manage airflow as efficiently as possible. The hexagon, a familiar motif in modern Lamborghini design, is harmoniously yet strikingly integrated into the vehicle's distinctive visual elements. It starts with the stunning headlights and taillights, which are accented by innovative hexagonal LED daytime running lights. The air intakes on the bonnet are reminiscent of those of the Sesto Elemento.

Further similarities can be found in the central triple exhaust with tailpipes made of Inconel, a special high-performance steel alloy used in the aerospace industry. The interior of both vehicles is characterized by clear lines. Its minimalist dashboard is accented by hexagonal 3D-printed air vents. The console is instrument-free to underscore the lightness of the interior and draw attention to pure driving pleasure. The cockpit itself is wrapped in carbon fiber and features a digital display with graphics specific to each model.

Carbon look with red "particles"

The Coupé Invencible is characterized by the subtle contrast between the dominant red tone and carbon-look elements with red "particles". The Rosso Efesto (Red) body is complemented by carbon fiber sills and door frames and Rosso Mars (Red) brake calipers. They are located behind the wheels with a central nut and carbon fiber covers for better ventilation of the brake system. The classic scissor doors feature two distinctive hexagonal tricolor elements: a homage to the Italian flag, which can be found on both the door panels and the steering wheel. The body-colored interior features contrasting Rosso Alala (Red) leather elements and Nero Cosmus (Black) Alcantara detailing, accented by personalized Rosso Alala (Red) and Nero Ade (Black) embroidery. The dashboard is adorned with a Lamborghini logo in the color Rosso Efesto (red), which is also used for the shift paddles on the steering wheel.

Similarly, the Roadster Auténtica does not detract from its unique character: the body is finished in Grigio Titans (Grey) with details in Matt Black and a color scheme in Giallo Eye (Yellow). That hue is also found on the brake calipers and key aerodynamic elements. These include the front splitter and the motorsport-derived rear wing with two side fins to optimize downforce. Two domes with integrated roll bars in the style of the open racing cars of the past ensure a unique vehicle profile. The interior features elegant Giallo Taurus (Yellow) embroidery contrasting with Nero Ade (Black) leather upholstery and Nero Cosmus (Black) and Grigio Octans (Grey) two-tone Alcantara.

the last two before the hybrid era

The Invencible and the Auténtica are the last two vehicles produced by Lamborghini before the transition to the hybrid era, which are equipped with a longitudinally mounted 6,5-liter twelve-cylinder mid-engine (Longitudinale Posteriore: "LP"). This is how the Lamborghini V12 unit pays its last respects in grand style: It produces 780 hp and 720 Nm maximum torque at 6750 rpm, paired with an ISR seven-speed gearbox, all-wheel drive and the all-wheel steering system Lamborghini Dynamic Steering.
