Jeep CJ Surge Concept as an electric mod study for SEMA!

At this year's SEMA stand of the Stellantis Group, various studies and concept cars are bustling about, which make it clear that the automotive giant is the subject Tuning and factory accessories takes very seriously. Among other things, there is a Jeep CJ Surge Concept To see said electric vehicle, which looks like a Restomod occurs, but has the most modern technology. We would now like to introduce this car to you!

Extremely eye-catching off-road look!

The look of the extraordinary project is strongly reminiscent of the Wrangler forerunner CJ, which made the hearts of many off-road fans beat faster in the 80s. the Coloring in orange and black is an absolute eye-catcher, and the spartan design of the vehicle is also reminiscent of an off-road buggy. The study owns no doors, but only one Roll bar, about which a brief soft top was stretched. Furthermore, the Windscreen compared to the normal Wrangler by a good two inches shortened.

Among the broadly exhibited Fenders sit 9×18 inch Black Rhino Solid Wheels, which with cloddy All-terrain tires from BF-Goodrich and a diameter of 35 inches (0,89 m). Added one Höherlegung by 2 inches (approx. 5 cm) as well as a special one front apron by Jeep Performance Parts (JPP), which is actually intended for the Wrangler JK Rubicon. Dana 44 axles , and a Two-speed transfer case are on board as well as robust ones underbody panels, a JPP Rubicon winch and side skirt tubes. Finally there are blue ones tow hooks and LED fog lights at the vehicle.

Classic meets modern in the interior!

The cockpit is with the Center console outfitted from the Wrangler JK, but overall feels spartan and purposeful. Only Mopar add-on gauges for the charge level indicator of the battery point to the E-drive of the car. The two Sports Seats of the concept car are on elevated consoles installed and have seat covers made of fabric in black and with a houndstooth pattern. These are joined Custom steering wheel and extra robust All-weather floor mats by Mopar.

An electric drive ensures emission-free progress!

A modular provides propulsion Custom e-drive with an operating voltage of 400 volts and an output of 200 kilowatts. The Jeep is thus a further contribution by the Stellantis Group to the future of zero-emission driving. Unfortunately, we have no information on torque and driving performance. Our conclusion: Back to the Future! This e-mobile in the classic restomod look shows how a world full of electrified automobiles could become colorful and varied. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
