There is always movement in the automotive world and it is currently more dynamic than ever. Especially in California, the focal point of the car revolution, everything is moving a little faster. The latest trend? The retro revolution! For some time now we have been seeing a veritable flood of start-ups in the automotive sector. Young companies that don't just want to bring another electric car onto the market, but want to rewrite history. And that literally! One of these companies that has made it their mission to bring old classics into a new age is Kindred Motorworks. Based on Mare Island, California, Kindred Motorworks' mission is to “modernized vintage vehicles“ to produce. This includes newly interpreted ones Ford Broncos (1966-1975), Chevrolet 3100s (1947-1953), VW buses and of course the unforgettable ones Camaros.

Although Kindred originally planned not to start production of the rolling jewels until 2024, the company has already, to the surprise of many, during the Monterey Car Week announces that production has already started. The highlight: a Ford Bronco, which is currently on the assembly line and may already celebrate its premiere this fall. But what can customers expect? The Bronco comes with a.o Ford Gen 3 Coyote engine equipped with a displacement of 5,0 liters 460 PS delivers. All of this has a starting price of $169.000. But that's not all: customers can leave ten different finishes choose two leather interior colors and, for those who like it a little more robust, one Trail Edition Package for an additional $10.000. The package includes, among other things, special bumpers front and back, one Warning winch and one Tire carrier.

And for all electronic fans, Kindred has one more treat up its sleeve: a electric Chevrolet 3100. Outwardly the same as the old one, but a technical revolution under the hood. With an electric powertrain that 294 PS delivers, and a price of "only" $159.000, the pickup will make the hearts of many classic car fans beat faster.
