The boys and girls from 1016 Industries work as is well known currently on 3D-printed body parts for cars. And to find out, among other things, which maximum sizes and manufacturing steps can be carried out in this way, they created this prototype widebody kit for a McLaren 720S. It will definitely not suit everyone, but the technology behind it is fascinating. There was a new front fairing with a huge front splitter and a small central air inlet, completely new fenders all around, enlarged air openings on the right and left and on the outside a powerful winglet wing that probably serves as a canard.

Everything is much bigger than a regular 720S and pretty insane. The headlights have been partially removed and the openings seem even larger compared to the series. The rear fenders also get new air intakes, including a small opening in the area of the side skirts, and even a fixed rear wing can be seen. Of course, the 3D kit is not something that will go into production like this, but it shows what is possible. 1016 Industries believes a 3D printed body kit can hit the market in early 2021.
