The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 holds as every year again a lot of surprises ready. One of them will be a very special M2 that will be on show in the cool Frozen Black as a BMW M Performance Parts Concept. The M-GmbH would like to show that even a few M-Performance Tuning components ensure that the F87 can be trimmed in the direction of motorsport. The individual coating in Frozen Black is combined with lots of accents in gold. The black is supplemented with thin gold stripes which are to indicate the changed components.
Made of carbon consist of the bonnet, the roof, the sideflaps below the side skirts, the tailgate including integrated rear spoiler (E46 CSL style), the diffuser, the kidneys and gills and the sporty winglets on the front bumper. The many carbon components even ensure that the M2 is well 60 kg lighter than the series and thus not only have an optical and aerodynamic effect. And also on the performance you have screwed and so the M2 comes with a coilover suspension that has a 12-adjustable tension and 16-fold adjustable compression and the body also lowers by well 20 mm. Not to be missed of course, a M Performance Sport exhaust system with carbon tailpipes.
In the rear one builds a performance battery which brings 14 kg less weight and also the interior is clearly different. In addition to plenty of Alcantara, there are two, reduced to the essentials, sports seats (13 kg weight savings), the well-known M-sports steering wheel with 12: 00 watch mark and carbon inserts as well as nice details such as special floor mats, an aluminum pedal set and also here a lot Accents in gold. You could have saved even more weight by removing the back seat, which is rather counterproductive in the course of practicality.
