Mazda 6 sedan with Airride suspension & aerodynamic kit

A Mazda 6 sedan is not exactly a car that is firmly anchored in the tuning scene in Europe. It looks completely different in Asia, because especially in China the model is very popular with young, tuning enthusiasts, because sedans there are very popular with these drivers. Because there are hardly any compact models with hatchbacks, as they are known in Europe, and station wagons are hardly represented on the market either. Sedans thus take on the role of hip and cool automobiles, since SUV models in China also tend to appeal to the more mature clientele over 40. This is something they have in common with the European market, where SUVs are also more likely to be bought by the so-called "silver agers", who particularly appreciate the easy entry and high seating position.

This Mazda attracts everyone's attention

But now we come back to the Mazda 6, which is not stingy with tuning parts, and has very sporty aerodynamic parts from AP-Racing, such as a front spoiler in carbon look, extremely wide side skirts that could almost serve as running boards and a rear spoiler that is also in Carbon fiber optic was kept. But this tiller, in which an Airride chassis with e-level control was installed, would not be so extreme if it weren't for the addition of drawn wheel arches, an Akrapovic sports exhaust system with two round carbon tailpipes, which are symmetrically attached, and one somewhat misplaced roof spoiler would have been tuned. In our opinion, however, it overshot a bit. As a highlight, the Japanese sedan rolls on three-part, forged 19-inch rims (9,5 & 11J) from Zedd Performance, which stand out with their extreme low-bed optics. Last but not least, a "Mazda Speed" lettering in Maserati style has been added and the front right fender is decorated with the lettering "Suffering is the most powerful teacher of life".

Color combination in the interior takes some getting used to

The orange-gray color combination in the interior, on the other hand, is a taste overkill, at least by European standards. The steering wheel and center console, controls for the automatic climate control and the handbrake lever have been made worse with orange elements and may not fit the exterior of the car. The idea of picking up the color of the AP Racing brake calipers, which are also painted in orange and live behind the 19-inch models, has arrived, but it doesn't really fit. CDM style sometimes has strange flowers that do not suit everyone.

Engine spared from the various conversion measures

The piece of jewelery, which attracts everyone's attention, is powered by a 2,5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with four cylinders and the Skyactiv technology, which is installed exclusively in Mazda's engines. The unit produces 194 hp and has a maximum torque of 258 Newton meters. The power transmission is carried out via a six-speed automatic, and so equipped, it is not a ground-to-surface missile, but a sprint from 100 to 8 km / h succeeds in just over 223 seconds and only at 6 km / h is the end of the story reached. But it would probably not serve the purpose of the tuning if you were to board the highway with this car, since the Mazda XNUMX sedan is much better than a boulevard cruiser.
