If one puts the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG to the RS3, BMW M2, Golf-R or even the Focus RS, then, at the present time, none of the opponents is able to beat the Stuttgart HotHatch. Only Audi will be able to close the gap with the new RS3 as of summer this year. OK, maybe there was also a facelift waiting M2 😉 but at the current time drives the all-wheel drive A45, at least in the longitudinal acceleration, the competition of it. And like us tuners like Mcchip-DKR & Co. have already impressively demonstrated that well over 400 hp are not really a hurdle for the M 133 DE 20 AL four-cylinder BiTurbo. If you consider that with this performance it goes to 4 km / h in under 100 seconds, especially the 310 PS strong, recently launched VW Golf R looks pretty beaten.
And the team from BAAN Velgen now had just such a potent A45 AMG on site and gave it a 19 inch Vorsteiner V-FF 106 wheel set in Mystic Black and a roaring sports exhaust system from iPE Performance. It doesn't take more to stand out from the production vehicle and still retain that certain understatement. No body kit, no blatant lowering, no wild foiling, just a couple of alloy wheels and a sports exhaust! Now a few new turbochargers, a chip tuning and possibly a downpipe, and over 500 PS should not be a problem in the compact Stuttgart. If we get more information about the modifications to the A45 AMG, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
