The new one is coming Mercedes AMG C 63 with half the displacement compared to the 4,0-liter biturbo V8, but with MUCH more power? It seems so. Because rumors are growing that the electrified version of the M139 four-cylinder from the AMG A 45 insane 680 PS could generate. And without a power upgrade, the longitudinally mounted engine in the C 63 is said to be considerable 476 PS to generate. This means that the new C 63 AMG would have the most powerful production four-cylinder of all time under the hood by a wide margin.
The British colleagues from Coach can find out. The combustion engine is probably supported by an electric motor with 204 hp mounted on the rear axle and the system performance should therefore be used in violent situations 680 PS lie. This would make the C 63 AMG significantly more powerful than an E 63 AMG, an RS6 or an M5, all of which are located one floor above.
Mercedes-AMG C 63 (2023) with 680 hp?
And compared to the old model, that would be huge 170 PS more. At the same time, the maximum torque should be “only” 750 Nm. So a plus of 50 Nm compared to the W 205 AMG with BiTurbo V8. We can't quite believe these numbers, but we'll be taught better! Much more realistic, however, is the statement that the C 63 does not have rear-wheel drive, but all wheel drive will get and also one Drift mode is likely.
In addition, a C 63 T-model should also be considered set. Our advice: The C 63 AMG will be in the range of 560 & 800 NM! The new C 63 should be officially presented in the coming weeks or months.
