This leggy 2015 W463 is an impressive sight, especially considering the "G 63" abbreviation on the rear. This is a custom conversion based on a G 63 AMG by the professionals from SR tuning was realized. The off-road bolide was built as a homage to the mighty 4×4² and goes one step further in many respects. An obvious difference to the G500 4×4² is of course the engine. While the G500 "only" has 422 hp under the hood, the G 63 AMG brings 544 hp to the crankshaft in the standard version. But SR Tuning didn't stop there and with a Stage 1 software optimization and the installation of a DD Customsexhaust system with flap control and modified down pipes increased the performance to a whopping 700 hp. Thus, there is undoubtedly enough power available to give the car a frightening propulsion in any on- and off-road driving situation.

Portal axles for more off-road performance

The biggest difference, however, is the conversion to the powerful Portal axes including special springs and dampers. In combination with the new wheel and tire combinations, the G 63 sits enthroned on a 10,0×22-inch Brabus Monoblock Y “Platinum Edition” forged wheels with Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires in 325/55R22 dimensions. The special springs and dampers in turn ensure a Höherlegung by around 25 centimetres, so that the G driver really has everything he needs for a real off-road trip. The ground clearance is now around 45 centimeters and the total height of the monster is 2,24 meters.

In order to accommodate the "Bigfoot" wheels adequately, fender flares made of carbon, which widen the angular off-roader by a whopping 20 centimeters per side. The roof spoiler above the windshield is also made of carbon. In the cockpit of the G 63 AMG, the steering wheel has been updated with a '63 AMG counterpart from the current series (W463A).

with 700 hp every terrain is mastered

All in all, the G 63 AMG from SR Tuning is an absolute eye-catcher that not only delivers outstanding performance on the road, but also off-road. With the portal axles and the special tires, it can master almost any terrain and the 700 hp under the hood ensure powerful propulsion in every driving situation.
